Violet's heart skipped a beat.
The rational part of her head warned her she should run away from here; this wasn't safe. However, the intoxicating scent was clouding her senses.
"Alpha, are you alright?" Violet asked, moving forward to reduce the distance between them.
The silence from him made her realize how wrong it was of her to enter the room. She suppressed her curiosity and swallowed hard, deciding it was best for her to leave.
That's when his bright golden eyes darted towards her. They gleamed with a fierce, predatory light, making her blood run cold and alerting her instincts to flee from there.
She felt like a small, helpless animal being watched by a hungry, wild beast.
If she got caught, she would meet her demise.
Violet turned her back, about to hurry out.
But it was too late.
The beast had already caught her.
