'A ghost?'
A couple of years ago someone saying they saw a ghost would cause a wave of laughter, but with the upsurge of apocalypse beasts, 'ghost' has become a far more concerning word.
'Could it be the beast that damaged the wall?"
Ark quickly got to his feet and rushed forward in the direction most people seemed to be avoiding. While hurriedly putting on his shirt, he circled the hall and checked, but it was empty.
There was nothing in sight save for a dark empty hallway. He took a moment to observe his surroundings, there were no scratch marks or even any single strange thing about the place.
Drip!
A drop of water fell from the leaking ceiling and exploded against the ground.
Ark immediately turned to face the direction of the sound, and as he did, he saw something flash past his vision.
But once he turned back, again all that met him was an empty hallway, leaving behind a rather eerie atmosphere.
"Was it a bird?"
