Max was lacking compared to others because he had wasted one year doing nothing.
But he wasn't that worried about it because of his Ultimate Leveling System. He had taken only a few days to reach Silver Rank while others took months to do the same.
Similarly, he would have easily overtaken them if he was given enough time. But it was tough in just two or three weeks.
The First Selections gathered all the prodigies of the Selero Empire, so he had no doubt there would be even Gold Rank Hunters among the participants.
The competition was simply too tough to catch up in three weeks.
'I will need to talk to Char and Stelle. I am not coming out of the Labyrinth for the next three weeks.'
"Do you need anything? Like skills or Artefacts?" Harley asked. "That reminds me, which path are you taking anyways?"
Turning towards him, Max smiled, "I have chosen it long ago. I'm gonna be a Guardian!"
Hearing that, Harley stiffened before laughing out loud, confusing Max for a second.
