Chapter 57 - Episode 57: "Inferno: Part 2 – The Firestorm"

Black Squad – Episode 57: "Inferno: Part 2 – The Firestorm"

---

Opening Scene: A City on Fire

Location: Mumbai Textile District – 1:30 AM

The Mumbai skyline burned. Flames shot into the sky from multiple locations across the city. The glow of fire reflected off the glass buildings, casting an ominous light over the streets.

Fire trucks screamed through traffic, their sirens cutting through the chaotic night. Water cannons blasted through the flames, but the fires seemed to rage out of control.

At one of the fire sites, ACP Sulaiman Qazi and his team stood outside a burning factory, scanning the destruction.

Arjun Rathore wiped sweat from his brow. "This is the third fire in two hours. This guy is playing with us."

Neha monitored the emergency frequency on her tablet. "Reports are coming in. Fires at three separate textile factories, all belonging to rival business owners. This isn't just random—this is calculated."

WHOOSH! A loud explosion erupted from a nearby building. The fire spread instantly across the rooftop.

Imran Wani shouted, "THERE! LOOK!"

A lone figure stood on the rooftop of the burning structure, silhouetted by the flames. He wore a charred firefighter's jacket, his face covered by a half-melted gas mask. In his hand, a silver lighter flickered.

Arjun: "That's him—Inferno!"

The masked figure gave a mocking salute before dropping his lighter.

BOOM!

A massive fireball erupted, sending debris flying as the team ducked for cover. By the time the smoke cleared, Inferno had vanished into the night.

Qazi clenched his jaw. "Enough of this. We end it tonight."

Scene 1: Connecting the Dots

Location: Black Squad HQ – 3:00 AM

The Black Squad war room was filled with the glow of computer screens. The city map was pinned to a board, marked with red circles where the fires had broken out.

Arjun paced the room. "Inferno isn't just an arsonist. He's making a statement. Every building he's targeted belonged to a business that had insurance fraud claims in the past."

Neha scanned through reports. "If he's punishing corrupt businessmen, that means he has one last target. The biggest textile tycoon in Mumbai—Arvind Shetty."

Assistant Commissioner Ravinder Singh entered, his face grim.

ACP Qazi: "Sir, we're close. We think Shetty is next."

ACP Ravinder: "You'd better stop him before he turns half the city to ash."

Imran tossed a burnt ID card onto the table. "We found this at the second fire site. It belonged to a firefighter—Aditya Verma. Fired five years ago for arson."

Neha pulled up an old news clipping on the screen.

Headline: "Firefighter Dismissed After Setting Blazes He Was Meant to Extinguish."

Qazi's eyes narrowed. "So he didn't just disappear. He was planning this for years."

Scene 2: Inferno's Hideout

Location: Abandoned Fire Station – 5:30 AM

The squad arrived at an old fire station in a desolate part of the city. The building was charred and blackened, long abandoned.

Inside, they found maps of Mumbai, building schematics, and burned newspaper clippings.

Arjun picked up a notebook. "All his victims are crossed out… except one. Arvind Shetty."

Neha ran to the corner, where dozens of fuel canisters were stacked. "He's planning something big. If he uses all this, the fire could wipe out half the financial district."

Qazi grabbed his radio. "All units, get to Shetty Textiles. NOW."

Scene 3: The Final Showdown

Location: Shetty Textiles Factory – 7:00 AM

The Black Squad raced through the city. As they neared Shetty's factory, thick black smoke already rose into the sky.

Fire alarms blared. Workers ran out, coughing and choking on the smoke.

Qazi and his team rushed inside.

Through the smoke, Inferno stood at the center of the warehouse. He had a fuel canister in one hand, a lighter in the other.

Inferno (grinning): "You're too late, ACP."

Qazi aimed his gun. "Drop it. Now."

Inferno: "Why? The people I burned were all guilty. Corrupt businessmen, frauds, criminals hiding behind money. I did what your system was too weak to do."

Imran stepped forward. "You killed innocent workers just to make a point. That's not justice—that's murder."

Inferno laughed. "The world is built on fire. I just speed up the process."

With a flick, he lit the lighter and tossed it toward a pile of gas cans.

Arjun DOVE FORWARD, catching the lighter mid-air.

Inferno lunged at him, swinging a metal crowbar.

CLANG! Arjun barely dodged the attack, countering with a hard punch. Inferno stumbled back.

Qazi rushed in, tackling Inferno to the ground. They grappled, fists flying.

Inferno pulled a hidden blade, slashing toward Qazi's throat—

BANG!

A single gunshot.

Inferno froze. Blood seeped from his shoulder.

Neha lowered her pistol. "You're done."

Inferno chuckled, coughing. "You think this ends with me? Fire never dies."

Qazi grabbed him by the collar. "Neither does justice."

As fire crews doused the flames, the Black Squad led Inferno out in handcuffs.

Final Scene: The Flames Die Down

Location: Mumbai Central Prison – 11:00 AM

Inferno sat in solitary confinement, staring at the wall.

ACP Qazi stood outside his cell.

Qazi: "The city is safe now."

Inferno didn't look at him. "For now."

Qazi walked away, his face unreadable.

As the prison doors slammed shut, the fire was out… but in the shadows, new dangers waited.

FADE TO BLACK.
