Chapter 15 - Divine Dragon!

Whatever it was, I was grateful that I managed to save my little snack from Chu Feng's attack.

If I hadn't, I wasn't sure if I could've handled the situation with him.

If I remembered correctly, I knew it would've been impossible for me to hold myself back from killing Chu Feng.

Fortunately, thanks to my glimpse of the future, I knew I could get through this problem.

"Now... I've finished my snack. I guess it's time to go back to class," I muttered, realizing I had no choice but to return.

For now, I knew class was about to start.

Sure enough, just as I walked into the classroom, I heard the bell ring, signaling the beginning of the second day's lesson.

And just as I thought, it really happened.

Within seconds, I saw Teacher Feng Xue walk into the classroom.

She was about to begin the first lesson of the morning.

Anyway, I knew today's class would test the students on summoning spells.

Summoning spells...

What exactly was the teacher planning?

Whatever.

Without wasting time, I saw Teacher Feng Xue place a piece of paper on each student's desk.

Looking at the symbols on the paper, I recognized it as the seal for a summoning spell.

"A summoning spell… I'm really bad at this."

"Oof... I hope I can complete my summoning."

"Ha ha ha! This is too easy. Summoning a spirit beast is no big deal for me!"

Honestly, I could see the fear on some of my classmates' faces.

Though a few showed confidence, knowing it was almost impossible for them to fail.

If I looked at the two troublemakers in class, I knew they were among the confident ones too.

Either way, the fact remained: those two were undoubtedly the most talented students in class.

Maybe that's why I thought it was normal for them to summon the beast they wanted?

Without delay, one of the troublemakers began his summoning.

Within seconds, a purplish light appeared from the symbol on the paper.

Not long after, the sound of a cat meowing came from his desk.

"A-A cat? No way! Why… Why a cat?!"

"Pfft...! A cat? That's so lame! Ha ha ha! Serves you right!"

"You—Li Ruolin! If you're so great, why don't you show us? Let's see if you can top my summon!"

For a moment, a slight smile appeared on the lips of the girl named Li Ruolin.

By the way, the troublemaker's name was Chen Xiao.

If I recalled correctly, I believed they were both considered top geniuses.

Judging from their cultivation levels, I knew their spiritual power was over 400.

That alone made it likely they'd break through to the Core Formation Realm sooner or later.

What a strange pair...

Let it be.

If I'm honest, I was curious to see what spirit beast Li Ruolin would summon.

Unexpectedly, I saw her begin the summoning.

Before long, a small fox appeared on her desk.

"A three-tailed fox? Impressive... Student Li, your summoning is excellent," praised Teacher Feng Xue, knowing that a three-tailed fox wasn't weak at all.

On the contrary, it had great potential for growth over time.

Maybe that's why Chen Xiao had no choice but to admit defeat.

He realized he had been utterly beaten by Li Ruolin.

"No way…? Chen Xiao lost? Well... I guess that's to be expected. Li Ruolin really is talented at spirit summoning. No wonder he lost."

I see...

'Alright... now it's my turn. The students beside me have also summoned their beasts. I can't fall behind.'

Without realizing it, I released 0.000001% of my spiritual energy.

As I channeled my power into the summoning seal on the paper, a golden wave began to form.

"Hm?"

Even Teacher Feng Xue noticed the strange phenomenon.

In less than a second, a deafening roar echoed through the classroom.

My classmates covered their ears, overwhelmed by the sound.

"ROAR!!!—"

Even the class next door felt the impact.

As Teacher Feng Xue looked up at the sky, she saw a massive dragon appear.

It could be said this dragon was among the highest-ranking spirit beasts.

"A Divine Dragon...?! How is this possible? How can a Divine Dragon be summoned?!" Teacher Feng Xue shouted, wondering if I was the one who had summoned it.

No matter how many times she questioned it, the fact that the Divine Dragon hovered right above me was undeniable.

"Ah... Forgive me. I didn't expect a dragon to respond to my summon," I said casually. I truly didn't expect any dragon race to heed the call of a mere mortal.

But who would've thought? The dragons actually responded to my summoning.

"Everyone, evacuate! Quickly, get to safety!"

For a moment, I heard Teacher Feng Xue instructing the students to leave the classroom.

She didn't know why, but she could tell the dragon above us wasn't friendly.

Unfortunately, just as she was about to evacuate the class—

I snapped my fingers, and the dragon hovering above began to shrink little by little.

Sure enough, what I intended really happened.

For some reason, the dragon slowly floated in front of me.

Judging from its expression, I could tell it was irritated by what had happened.

A dragon...

"Return. This is not your place. Do not think you may harm ordinary people."

Glaze!–

Gulp!–

In an instant, the dragon vanished from sight.

Even Teacher Feng Xue couldn't comprehend what had just happened.

"Is it over...? That was insane... What did he even summon?" my classmates asked, curious how I managed to call forth a dragon.

They knew that dragons were one of the highest races in the cultivation world.

If summoned, it should've been impossible for them to submit to a mortal.

But why? How could someone like me summon a dragon?

Even more shocking, the dragon obeyed my command.

Maybe that's why they were starting to wonder—was I really just an ordinary student?

Unfortunately for them, they would never uncover my true identity.

In the end, the undeniable fact remained: I was the child of an ordinary human.

Just that alone made it impossible for anyone to guess who I really was.

"What was that? Why was there such a terrifying roar?" asked a teacher from another class, unaware that I had summoned a dragon.

In their minds, they wondered if a powerful enemy had attacked.

Fortunately, their fears turned out to be unfounded.

"Teacher! Look! Student Sun managed to summon a Flame Tiger! It's a high-level spirit beast!"

"Well done. As expected of the lady from the Sun family. You are a worthy successor."

"Thank you, Teacher, for your praise."

It was true—the summoning from Sun Xinxin produced a beast roughly 100cm tall.

Judging by its strength, everyone could tell it was a flame-type spiritual tiger.
