Tyler tapped the screen, accepted the call, then put it on speaker.
"Mother," he greeted lightly.
"Where is your brother?" came Josephine Domango's crisp voice—it was as impatient as ever.
Richard looked up from the folder with furrowed brows.
"You're on speaker, Mother," Tyler said.
There was a brief pause. Then, "Good. That saves me time. Richard, I'm on my way to your office. Don't leave."
Richard's jaw tightened. "Is that a request or an order?"
"Does it matter?" Josephine's tone was like steel wrapped in velvet. "You're not in any position to question my authority anyways."
The line went dead.
Tyler blinked at the phone. "Wow. Same as ever. Accept my condolences in advance, brother."
"Great. Just what I needed." Richard tossed the folder aside and ran a hand through his hair. One encounter with Shantel Hale was enough to last him for the whole week and he was clearly not ready for the headache his mother was going to give him.
