Chapter 147 - Chaos King’s Vampire Vamps and Lycan Larceny

Selene, hellbent on finding Michael Corvin, kicked down his apartment door, guns blazing, ready to ice any Lycan in sight.

Instead, she froze as Raja strutted out of the bathroom, stark naked, his chiseled, demon-back physique glistening like a bodybuilding ad. He raised his hands, smirking as seen in movies, and—whoops—his towel dropped, revealing a pole that made Selene's eyes widen, her focus derailed.

"Well, hello, moon goddess," Raja purred, unfazed.

In that split-second distraction, Raja's peak-human reflexes kicked in. He snatched her guns, pinned her to the wall, and planted a soul-searing kiss. Their lips locked, bodies melting, souls syncing in a blissful supernova.

MAYA: "Master, you're turning a stakeout into a rom-com!"

Gasping, Raja broke the kiss, their eyes piercing like laser beams. He casually grabbed his black-and-gold Hunter gear, dressing as Selene snapped out of her daze, blushing furiously, and aimed her guns again.

"Who are you? Where'd you come from? What'd you do to Michael Corvin? Answer now!" she barked, cheeks flaming.

Raja, fully suited, grinned, "Not now, icy goddess. Save poor, unarmed me first—we've got Big Bad Wolf company!"

A thunderous CRASH echoed as Lycans punched through the ceiling, claws gleaming. Selene grabbed Raja, dragging him to the elevator, slamming the button as Lycans crawled through the corridor window, scuttling like giant roaches.

Raja, feigning terror, squealed, "Creepy as fuck, Moon Goddess! Save me, I'm just a defenseless lad!"

Selene, rolling her eyes, unloaded silver bullets, dropping Lycans like roach bait, their groans echoing.

The elevator dinged open; Raja darted in, hitting the close button, waving cheekily, "Byeee!"

Selene, mid-shootout, gaped, "You little—!" but kept firing.

On the ground floor, the doors slid open, revealing Lucian, the Lycan Pack Leader, expecting Michael.

Instead, Raja's evil grin greeted him. "Yo, Alpha," Raja said, unleashing a roundhouse kick that sent Lucian flying, crashing into a wall with a cartoonish THUD.

"Pathetic," Raja muttered, tossing a silver knife that pinned inches from Lucian's neck, complete with a pouch.

Inside the pouch: a note—"Michael's dead, I've got his blood. Catch me if you can"—and two Blood vials labelled "Taste" and "Test."

Selene, ever the badass to escape from hordes of Lycans, Started to shooting continuously on the floor in the form of a circle, dropping to the ground level. (photo)

She spotted Lucian, battered, clutching a familiar necklace that pinged her memory, and eyed Raja suspiciously.

Raja, playing innocent, shrugged, "What? He jumped on me! I just kicked him—dude's overacting."

Selene, not buying it, yanked Raja by the collar, sprinting to her sleek car.

Lucian, ribs creaking getting adjusting from the Kick, He saw the sliver Knife and the pouch and opened it.

Read the note, tasted the "Taste" vial, and—ZOOM—felt like he'd chugged a Red Bull factory. Roaring, he sprinted after them with inhuman speed, eyes blazing.

Selene tossed Raja into the passenger seat, floored the accelerator, and her car screamed out of the building.

Lucian, running like a juiced-up cheetah, leapt onto the roof, wielding an Assassin's Creed-style hand blade. He stabbed down, punching holes in the car—THUNK! THUNK!—missing Raja and Selene twice.

On the third stab, aimed at Selene, Raja caught the blade bare-handed, blood dripping. Selene, shocked by the save raja did, caught a whiff of his demigod blood and swayed, intoxicated.

Raja yelled, "Brakes!" snapping her back. She slammed the pedal, stopping the car dead. Lucian, thrown off-balance, tumbled onto the road, rolling like a furry bowling ball.

Selene reversed, then gunned it, SLAMMING into Lucian as he staggered up, sending him skidding.

She tore through London's streets, weaving past cabs, her face a mix of nervous and bloodlust.

Raja, noticing, smirked as MAYA chimed, "Master, she's intoxicated on your demigod blood smell—she needs to feed."

Raja leaned in, "Hey, goddess, wanna sip my blood? Pull into an alley, I'm an open bar no need to shy."

Selene, mortified he'd clocked her craving, blushed deeper. She veered into a dark alley, stopping, and faced him, shame in her eyes.

Raja, grinning, sliced his wrist, offering it. She pounced, drinking like it was ambrosia, not spilling a drop. Five minutes later, she slumped, unconscious.

Raja, puzzled, asked, "MAYA, what's her deal?"

MAYA replied, "Master, she chugged a liter of your demigod blood. It's supercharging her vampire powers, overwhelming her. I sealed them to prevent a meltdown. To unlock, she needs Alexander Corvinus' blood—the OG immortal."

Raja, curious, pressed, "How strong will she get with Corvinus' blood and my power unlocked?"

MAYA: "She'll be Castlevania Dracula-level, a demigod of this world."

Raja's villainous laugh erupted, shaking the car, waking Selene.

Selene bolted upright, alert, "What happened? Explain, you Human named Raja, now!"

Raja, hamming it up, whined, "What'd I do? You slurped my blood like a mango lassi, passed out like a fed baby, leaving me defenceless! Worst kidnapper ever!"

Selene, buying his sob story, felt guilty. She'd never been this drunk on blood—Raja being her soulmate was the only explanation.

"I'm sorry," she mumbled, "Won't happen again."

Raja snorted, "Yeah, right, I'm not that dumb to believe a sexy vampire lady words. I'm 21, you know! Gasping Bet you're dragging me to your dungeon for torture for information and make me your personal blood-bag duty slave, aren't you?"He clutched his chest, fainting dramatically like a Victorian damsel, eyes fluttering shut.

Selena who saw the Oscar level acting of raja felt guity and pained in her heart due to the Mark of mate.

Maya " Master, your Oscar level acting scares me more than your power and lust."
