Qian Daoliu was a man who recognized value. At a glance, he identified the blessing as a unique perk from Sea God Island.
Compared to his own god, it was on an entirely different level of extravagance.
After all, in the entire Spirit Hall, only he had experienced the divine trial bestowed by the Angel God.
Sometimes Ye Wen wondered why, as fellow Level 1 gods, the Sea God prospered so greatly—second only to the Five God Kings—while the Angel God had been quietly defeated by the Asura God.
Most likely, it was because the Angel God was too stingy, showing little effort in nurturing her subordinates. Though she had many believers, the quality of their faith was poor.
Even with the largest area of worship across the Douluo Continent, it still couldn't match the concentrated faith provided by the elite followers of Poseidon's Sea God Island.
After all, you get what you pay for.
Ye Wen glanced at the envy in the eyes of the six elders.
He reflected that these elders had already reached the end of the cultivation path on the Douluo Continent. A small cost in divine trials was more than worth it.
However, unlike the top-tier nine trials given to Qian Renxue, Ye Wen only gave them three red-level trials. Even so, this was enough to allow them to ascend to godhood at level 100.
The six elders were both honored and apprehensive. Receiving such a great reward without having contributed anything reduced their resistance to serving Ye Wen significantly.
But Ye Wen didn't immediately grant them battle armor.
As a superior, he had to enforce clear rewards and punishments. If these newcomers enjoyed the highest-tier benefits under Ye Wen's command right away, those who had served him earlier would surely be outraged.
Moreover, unlike those under Ye Wen who relied on divine trials to ascend, these six elders had reached their current level through sheer personal cultivation. Their understanding of their martial souls was undoubtedly deeper, and their combat strength correspondingly higher.
Once equipped with the exclusive six-character battle armor Ye Wen prepared for them, they would become six ready-made Level 2 god-tier fighters.
In the current Douluo divine realm, aside from the Five God Kings, there were only about ten Level 1 gods, with a few dozen Level 2 and 3 gods remaining.
If Ye Wen were to turn against the divine realm, these six would form the backbone of his forces. Thus, Ye Wen treated the six elders exceptionally well.
During their conversation, Ye Wen also mentioned that Bibi Dong had already ascended to godhood, causing Qian Daoliu to break out in a cold sweat. Fortunately, the two sides weren't hostile; otherwise, it would have spelled complete disaster for the Qian family.
Accustomed to being a hands-off leader, Ye Wen casually informed them that they could consult Bibi Dong if they needed anything. She had become his third wife. This revelation left the elders stunned. "You really are something, Sea God," they thought.
However, the elders were even more delighted. They felt they had truly latched onto a powerful ally.
What they didn't notice was the subtle scheming in Qian Daoliu's eyes as his gaze shifted between Ye Wen and Qian Renxue.
To strengthen their bonds, a grand feast was naturally in order. Ye Wen's martial soul space contained everything imaginable, and he quickly arranged a lavish banquet. The group toasted and celebrated, enjoying the lively atmosphere.
During their conversations, Ye Wen subtly revealed his identity—a peerless genius who had ascended to godhood before the age of 40.
A commoner who, in his youth, founded an advanced academy and created an entirely new system for soul masters. He broke through to Soul Douluo before the age of 30, received the Sea God's favor on Sea God Island, inherited the Sea God's position, and spread his teachings across the Douluo Continent. His fame now resonated throughout the entire soul master community, earning him unparalleled respect.
Each of these achievements alone was legendary, yet they all converged in this single young man before them. The elders, nearly a hundred years old, looked at him with complex expressions, marveling at his greatness. If someone like him couldn't ascend to godhood, who could?
Meanwhile, Qian Renxue, silent until now, gazed at him with shining eyes.
Years of arduous cultivation had made her progress rapidly and cultivated a calm, unshakable mindset. Yet, faced with such a figure straight out of legend, she couldn't help but feel her heart race.
But the pure-hearted Qian Renxue didn't yet understand these feelings. All she knew was that Ye Wen's image seemed to fill her mind.
It was their first meeting, and Ye Wen hadn't expected Qian Renxue's maidenly heart to stir.
Fortunately, he had ultimately decided against letting her inherit the Angel God's divine seat. After all, in the original storyline, Qian Renxue's encounter with Tang San began with a duel. Admiring Tang San, she sought to claim him as her own. But Ye Wen was far stronger than Tang San—Qian Renxue wouldn't have the chance to act on her misguided love again.
Finally, Ye Wen instructed the six elders to continue their cultivation. He told them that a major plan requiring their assistance would unfold in a year's time.
Having accepted Ye Wen's generosity, the six elders respectfully agreed.
With everything back on track, Ye Wen prepared to discuss matters with Bibi Dong.
Unbeknownst to them, dusk was once again approaching.
Bibi Dong, ever punctual, returned to her chambers. Just as Ye Wen was about to speak, she stopped him.
"We're eating. Talk later."
Seeing Bibi Dong dressed like a devoted housewife, Ye Wen was once again captivated.
How did Dong'er know I liked this side of her?
Damn it, Ah Yin and Xixi, you two traitors!
But Ye Wen honestly enjoyed dinner with Bibi Dong.
At their level, they no longer needed ordinary sustenance. Yet both Bibi Dong and Ye Wen relished the atmosphere.
After the meal, they sat quietly in the courtyard, watching the sunset.
The atmosphere grew thicker, and emotions ran deep.
Another intense battle began—"Hoeing the fields at noon, sweat dripping onto the soil."
Ye Wen, fully prepared, was far beyond the inexperienced Bibi Dong. In just moments, she was utterly defeated. But to erase the shame of yesterday's abrupt defeat, Ye Wen used every ounce of his skill to show her what it meant to be the head of the household.
After a while, the air was thick with intoxicating sweetness. Bibi Dong lay panting in Ye Wen's arms.
Only then did Ye Wen finally have the chance to slowly explain the matter of the Shrine of Offerings.
Bibi Dong harbored no particular fondness for those elders.
Fortunately, their relationship had always been one of mutual non-interference. However, since Ye Wen had brought them under his wing, Bibi Dong naturally accepted them without complaint.
At this moment, Bibi Dong's eyes were dreamy, as if lost in thought. Gently stroking Ye Wen's chest, she murmured,
"Ah Wen, your ideal world is getting closer."
"Mm, yes, it's almost here. After all these years, I'm growing impatient."
"Hehe, it's because you're too kind," Bibi Dong chuckled softly.
"With your strength, you could directly slaughter them and build your ideal kingdom."
Ye Wen fell silent for a moment before replying,
"It's not kindness—it's cowardice. I've seen too many tragedies and don't want to see any more.
Human life shouldn't be like this."
