Although Blue Silver Grass was widely regarded as the most useless martial soul on the Douluo Continent, it had one distinct advantage.

It was easier to find a suitable mimicry environment for cultivation than any other martial soul, thanks to its low cost.

Simply training in an area abundant with Blue Silver Grass would naturally accelerate one's cultivation speed. However, because Blue Silver Grass martial souls generally had low innate soul power, this advantage was long overlooked by the soul master community.

In the original storyline, although Tang San himself somewhat looked down on the Blue Silver Grass martial soul, he unknowingly benefited from it, reaching level 29 by the age of 12 and nearing the threshold of level 30.

However, Tang San's current martial soul, Green Vine, was essentially an unawakened Thunderclap Hell Vine. While he could still train faster in areas filled with vines, the mismatch meant the effect was significantly weaker.

As a result, Tang San had only barely broken through to level 29, and reaching level 30 would still take some time.

With Oscar and Ma Hongjun intercepted, the plotline of Oscar hunting for his soul rings no longer existed.

But that didn't mean Tang San's cheat-level Eight Spider Spears had disappeared—they were still attached to a Man-Faced Demon Spider somewhere in the Great Star Forest.

At this moment, deep within the Great Star Forest—

A group of fifteen young men and women moved swiftly through the dense foliage. Their average age was under 20.

Leading the group were three siblings.

Of course, they were Ye Wen's precious children.

The youngest son, Ye Tianchen, grew impatient. He couldn't believe his father would assign him such a task.

"Sister, is it really necessary for us to participate in this soul-hunting mission?"

The eldest daughter, Ye Tianxin, had grown into a striking figure. Her long, deep-blue hair gradually transitioned into a fiery red at the ends, currently tied into a high ponytail, giving her an exceptionally spirited appearance.

Moreover, Ye Tianxin was deeply devoted to her father. From a young age, her mother and various teachers had instilled in her a profound understanding of her father's legendary greatness.

However, perhaps due to the influence of her Fire Dragon King bloodline, her temper had grown increasingly volatile in recent years.

"Hmm! Are you questioning Father's decision?"

Ye Tianxin fixed her gaze sharply on her younger brother. Though they were born close in time and were similar in height, there seemed to be an inherent bloodline suppression. Ye Tianchen instantly cowered.

Shrinking slightly, he stammered, "How could I? I just think this journey is a bit boring."

"Father's arrangements always have deeper meaning. Though we've been training at the academy all these years and have practiced many self-created soul skills, we still lack real combat experience," Ye Tianxin explained.

The relatively petite Ye Tianshui nodded enthusiastically in agreement.

"That's right, Brother. Dad must have planned this so we could come out and have some fun. I've been stuck in Tianxing Territory for so many years—I'm bored of it!"

The two older siblings exchanged indulgent glances at their youngest sister, Ye Tianshui. Ye Tianxin even reached out to ruffle her fluffy head affectionately.

"Third Sister, don't spend all your time thinking about playing. We can't bring shame to Father."

"Of course not, Big Sister. Who do you think I am? My Ice Dragon martial soul is incredibly powerful!"

As she spoke, Ye Tianshui puffed up her cheeks and flexed her biceps, looking comically adorable.

For a moment, the atmosphere of the entire team lightened considerably.

*Swish, swish.*

Suddenly, a rustling sound came from ahead. Ye Tianshui immediately raised her hand to signal the group to stay alert.

This group consisted of prodigies from Tianxing Academy who were soon to become Ye Wen's disciples-in-name. Their overall qualities were exceptional, and they had formed this squad to hunt for soul rings.

The sentry, an Agility Attack System soul master, quickly leapt onto a treetop and peered toward the source of the sound.

"Miss, it's a Phoenix-Tail Crested Snake. It looks to be over a thousand years old. Should we hunt it?"

When Ye Tianxin and her siblings entered the academy, they hadn't concealed their identities. Everyone knew they were the children of Principal Ye Wen, and each of them possessed extraordinary talent, making them the undisputed leaders of the academy.

Ye Tianxin scanned the group and locked her gaze on an auxiliary-type soul master.

No, not Oscar.

As Ye Wen's children, the three siblings had read extensively and were well-versed in the abilities provided by a Phoenix-Tail Crested Snake.

This auxiliary-type soul master specialized in food-based soul powers, which meant she could support numerous soul masters once she advanced to higher levels.

"Capture it," Ye Tianxin said calmly.

Such an opponent was beneath the three siblings' level.

The team had prepared thoroughly. Control-type soul masters restrained the snake, while power-type soul masters delivered the knockout blows.

Within 20 seconds, the Phoenix-Tail Crested Snake collapsed unconscious, its body still twitching.

Fresh and lively—it was best to act quickly.

After a quick inspection, Ye Tianxin confidently stated,

"Its length is between 6 to 8 meters, and its age should fall between 1,300 to 1,800 years. Liu Yuanyuan, your absorption limit matches perfectly. Absorb it—you'll gain a flight-based soul skill, which will allow you to help groups move at high speeds in the future."

The group trusted Ye Tianxin's knowledge implicitly. Liu Yuanyuan understood that, given the quality of her own martial soul, her future role would likely involve supporting lower-level soul masters. A flight-based soul skill would be invaluable for both escape and mobility.

Though only sixteen or seventeen years old, Liu Yuanyuan had already adapted to the harsh realities of soul hunting. She calmly retrieved a sharp dagger from her storage ring and prepared to end the snake's life by plunging it into its head.

"Stop!"

An elderly voice rang out from nearby, followed by an attack aimed directly at Liu Yuanyuan.

Ye Tianxin frowned and instantly summoned her Blue-Gold Tyrant Spear, deflecting the attack with a sweep.

"Who dares!"

The attacker hadn't expected Ye Tianxin to react so swiftly. Though the previous strike wasn't lethal, it wasn't something ordinary youngsters could easily block.

From the nearby bushes emerged an old woman clad in a long robe, wielding a snake spear.

"Young lady, that Phoenix-Tail Crested Snake is our prey. You cannot kill it," the old woman declared.

Ye Tianxin didn't respond immediately. Instead, she studied the old woman and her martial soul before letting out a faint laugh.

"The Snake Granny of the Dragon-Snake duo, correct?"

The Snake Granny's expression turned grave. She had kept a low profile for years, and ordinary people shouldn't know her identity. Could this girl be the child of an old enemy?

"Little girl, whose child are you?"

"There's no need for you to concern yourself, Snake Granny. This Phoenix-Tail Crested Snake was captured through our efforts. There's no reason for us to hand it over just because you say so," Ye Tianxin replied calmly but firmly.
