"We need to talk."
Eryx, who was just about to enter the room, suddenly halted as Lunara moved to rush past him.
"Naomi, let's go."
Ignoring him completely, she brushed past without a second glance.
Eryx's eyes darkened as he watched her brush past him without so much as a glance. His jaw clenched. "Lunara."
She didn't stop. If anything, she walked faster.
He exhaled sharply, reaching out and grabbing her wrist before she could leave. "I said we need to talk." His voice was low and firm.
Lunara finally turned to face him, her expression unreadable. "And I don't want to." She pulled her hand away. "You've already made everything clear, haven't you?"
Naomi, standing awkwardly nearby, shifted uncomfortably. "Uh… maybe I should—"
"Stay," Lunara said without hesitation, before looking back at Eryx. "Whatever you have to say, I'm not interested."
Eryx's patience thinned. "Lunara, don't be childish."
