Lunara rushed inside after hearing Eryx's answer, goosebumps running down her arms. It was so cringy she couldn't handle it.
Following behind, Eryx smirked. "You still haven't answered me."
Before Lunara could react, their moment was interrupted.
Regina stood in the middle of the grand staircase, her sharp gaze fixed on Eryx. "We need to talk."
Eryx let out a tired sigh, rubbing the back of his neck. "Can't it wait? I just got home, and I'm not in the mood for another headache."
Regina's expression didn't waver. Instead, she crossed her arms and said coolly, "Then I suppose you won't mind if I make some changes at the company while you rest? Or maybe… return Mila to her mother's family?"
Eryx's jaw tightened, his exhaustion instantly replaced by irritation. His gaze darkened as he took a step forward. "Do you always have to pull this kind of stunt?" His voice was laced with frustration.
Regina arched her brow. "Do you always have to make me?"
