Eryx leaned in, his gaze dark and unreadable, the air between them thick with tension. Lunara's chest heaving heavily as she moved back, pressing herself against the headboard. Looking around, she had nowhere to escape when Eryx's hands rested in between her, caging her in.
"You're not stopping me," he murmured, his lips hovering dangerously close.
Lunara's heart pounded so loudly she swore he could hear it. Her fingers curled into the sheets, torn between shoving him away and grabbing onto him. Her breath came in short, uneven gasps as she forced herself to meet his gaze.
"I—" Her voice caught in her throat.
Eryx's smirk deepened. "What? Lost your words, wifey?" His voice was husky, teasing, but there was something else too.
He tilted his head, brushing his nose against hers, and her body tensed at the electric sensation. "Tell me to stop," he murmured. "And I will."
"Then stop!" She immediately replied, breathing so fast.
