After Chloe Grant finished her shower, she lay on the bed, looking deeply preoccupied.
So many things had happened today, leaving her mind in turmoil and her heart heavy.
Adding to her unease was the fact that she wasn't in her own villa room, and she had trouble sleeping in unfamiliar places.
She feared... tonight might be a sleepless night.
Chloe simply got up, hugged her pillow, and sat by the bay window, opening the window and leaning against the wall, looking up at the sky.
Tonight, I'll just watch the stars and the moon to get through the evening... Oh, it seems there are neither stars nor moon.
Chloe gave a wry smile, resting her head against the glass.
Leaning and leaning, she unexpectedly fell asleep—
A completely unconscious sleep.
Outside, thunder rumbled, followed by a torrential downpour, the wind driving the rain through the window, some of it landing on Chloe Grant.
But she didn't react at all.
