The smile at the corner of his lips seemed to deepen, "You do know how to use reverse psychology, but Mabel Quinn, you've clearly forgotten one thing."
She froze for a moment, and he had already picked her up horizontally, walking toward the big bed in the bedroom.
"Kyle Kinston, what do you think you're doing? Let me go! Doesn't your promise count?" She panicked, struggling desperately, but in just a moment, she was tossed onto the bed, and before she could sit up, he had already leaned down, his hands pressing her wrists.
"You've forgotten, even if two people aren't in love, sometimes it's still possible," he said, his dark phoenix eyes shimmering with a seductive glint.
Her face flushed suddenly, and the scenes from before flashed before her eyes once again.
