Chapter 150 - Chapter 150: Return

Mitsuri Kanroji could see clearly and did not stop Roa from opening a harem. Roa said that he would like a dozen of such girls.

But that's what he thought, but what he said was, "What nonsense are you talking about? Having you is enough."

Mitsuri Kanroji felt happy hearing the boy's words, but also felt a bit of sorrow.

Roa pinched Mitsuri Kanroji's cheek and gently stroked the girl's forehead, smiling as he said, "What's wrong? You look so worried."

Mitsuri Kanroji let out a whimper but didn't speak, her eyes fixed intently on Roa.

Roa chuckled, "Let's go. We won't be staying here today; we don't want to disturb others."

As he said this, Roa winked at Mitsuri Kanroji.

Mitsuri Kanroji's face flushed, recalling the craziness of the previous night, and she couldn't help but punch Roa in the chest.

"You're so annoying!"

The sound of the punch whistled through the air.

The punch landed on Roa's chest but didn't cause much harm.

Roa said to Mitsuri Kanroji, "Come on, it's time for you to start your mission."

Mitsuri Kanroji tilted her head, curiously asking, "My mission? What is it?"

Roa thought for a moment about how to explain it to her, and after some time, he finally said, "There are many powerful people in my hometown, and even I can't handle them. Mitsuri, as my wife, you'll find a way to help me, right?"

Mitsuri Kanroji's already rosy cheeks turned even redder upon hearing the word "wife," her heart racing with excitement.

"He called me his wife! He called me his wife! Wuwuwu~"

In an instant, Mitsuri Kanroji was in tears.

Overwhelmed with emotion, she completely overlooked the latter part of what the boy said, just nodding vigorously.

Roa was left puzzled, feeling that the girl wasn't really listening to him.

With a sigh, he continued, "So, Mitsuri, you need to help me. I have family—two younger sisters, a father, and a mother. They are still young, and I need your help, um, my brother doesn't count."

Mitsuri Kanroji was happily lost in her thoughts.

Roa fell silent, extending his hand and waving it in front of Mitsuri Kanroji's eyes.

As expected, her mind had already wandered off, completely oblivious.

Roa sighed helplessly and directly pushed Mitsuri Kanroji onto the bed.

Mitsuri Kanroji was startled, and as she regained her senses, she found herself staring into Roa's exquisite and handsome face.

Roa's eyes were so close, and his lips looked incredibly tempting.

Roa pinned Mitsuri Kanroji down and poked her cheek, curiously asking, "What are you thinking about?"

Mitsuri Kanroji averted her gaze, too shy to meet the boy's eyes or look at those unfairly attractive lips. She simply murmured, "I'm just… a little happy."

Roa chuckled in disbelief, sitting up on the edge of the bed. He decided not to be angry with Mitsuri Kanroji; such things could only be done at night. Well, they could be done during the day too, but this wasn't the right time for that.

Roa thought for a moment and said to Mitsuri Kanroji, "From now on, I'll teach you swordsmanship."

Mitsuri Kanroji nodded, standing up to straighten her clothes that had been wrinkled by Roa.

By the time Mitsuri Kanroji finished tidying up, half an hour had passed.

Roa took Mitsuri Kanroji out of the inn, casually tossing a few bills at the counter and saying, "No need for change."

Then he swaggered out of the inn.

After handling all the trivial matters, the next step was to ask Kagaya Ubuyashiki for a secluded residence.

Roa planned to train Mitsuri Kanroji for a month, thoroughly teaching her the techniques of the Sword God style before taking her to the world of "Mushoku Tensei," thus gaining another ally.

As they chatted casually along the way, making some flirtatious gestures, it was quite pleasant.

When they found Kagaya Ubuyashiki, he was leisurely sitting at the door, as usual, admiring the blooming wisteria flowers.

The location of the headquarters was no longer a secret, and there were significantly fewer Demon Slayer Corps members around.

When Kagaya Ubuyashiki saw Roa, his eyes lit up, and he smiled, "Roa, I owe you a lot of thanks."

Roa waved his hand dismissively, saying, "It's nothing."

Then Kagaya Ubuyashiki turned his gaze to the silent Mitsuri Kanroji standing beside him. He noticed the slight blush on her face, which made her look more mature and alluring, shedding some of her youthful innocence.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki showed a thoughtful expression. After a moment, he said to Roa, "Mitsuri is a good girl. Don't let her down in the future."

Roa shrugged and replied, "Of course, I won't need you to worry about that. Oh, by the way, I came to you because I need your help with something."

Kagaya Ubuyashiki raised his eyes, looking at the young man before him.

He couldn't shake the feeling that the young man seemed even more handsome than before.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki nodded, and his wife handed him some oolong tea, then she stepped down the stairs and offered the same cup of tea to Roa and Mitsuri Kanroji.

Roa didn't like oolong tea; it was always bitter to him, and he had never enjoyed that bitterness.

Of course, he had loved drinking green tea from a certain brand in his past life, as well as iced red tea from a popular brand.

Roa said to Amane Ubuyashiki, "I'll pass; give it to Mitsuri."

Amane Ubuyashiki nodded and walked over to Mitsuri Kanroji.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki didn't like this kind of tea either, and similarly, Mitsuri Kanroji also disliked bitter things. The fact that she loved sakura mochi showed that she was very fond of sweet foods.

In fact, not many girls liked bitter things.

However, Mitsuri Kanroji still accepted the tea from Amane Ubuyashiki's hand. Seeing the curious expression on her face, Roa knew she probably had no idea what was in it.

Mitsuri Kanroji mimicked Kagaya Ubuyashiki's posture and took a small sip, but as soon as she did, her face scrunched up in distaste. She exclaimed, "It's so bitter! It doesn't taste good."

Roa burst into laughter, and the three people present smiled.

Amane Ubuyashiki explained to Mitsuri Kanroji with a smile, "Tea is like this; it's bitter at first, but only after the aftertaste can you savor the final hint of sweetness."

Mitsuri Kanroji still frowned and said, "It still doesn't taste good. How about this, Roa, big brother, can you drink it for me?"

Mitsuri Kanroji looked at Roa with a pitiful expression, but he averted his gaze, refusing to accept her plea for help.

Seeing that her request went unanswered, Mitsuri Kanroji gritted her teeth and downed the tea in one go.

Now her frown was even tighter.

Mitsuri Kanroji stuck out her slightly dry tongue, making an extremely cute expression. Roa thought it was adorable.

Mitsuri Kanroji noticed Roa's gaze and gave him a reproachful look. Roa quickly looked away, refusing to interact with her and ignoring her expression.

Mitsuri Kanroji's gaze turned more mournful, and she realized that this was likely just a prank by the boy.

Roa continued speaking to Kagaya Ubuyashiki, "So, could you help me find a secluded little house? Preferably one with a larger space."

Kagaya Ubuyashiki didn't ask why. After thinking for a moment, he had Amane Ubuyashiki bring over a map. He glanced at it casually, pointed to a location not too far away, and said to Roa, "How about a place on the mountain? Most of our Demon Slayer Corps bases are actually in the mountains. You know, demons often choose to hunt in deep forests."

Roa nodded, indicating that it was fine.

Although he had a fortune of seventy million, buying a villa in the city wasn't particularly special. The mountains were different; while the weather was hot, it was relatively cooler up there, and most importantly, the scenery was beautiful, with no one to disturb him.

He was also familiar with the area, having passed by it often while patrolling the mountains. He hadn't paid much attention before, but now it seemed like a great place.

The house was built halfway up the mountain, and there was no need to mention the house itself; it was surrounded by wood, which had been used directly during construction. The place was definitely spacious, and with a little renovation, it would make an excellent residence.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki nodded and said to Roa, "As long as you are satisfied, that's good. The house is vacant, and the Demon Slayer Corps stationed there should have already withdrawn. You can stay as long as you want. By the way, should I have someone help you move in some daily necessities?"

Roa didn't refuse and nodded, saying, "Sure."

After finishing his matters, Roa looked at Kagaya Ubuyashiki's face, which had regained some color, and curiously asked, "Now that Muzan Kibutsuji is dead, will your health improve?"

Kagaya Ubuyashiki shook his head and replied, "I don't know, but I feel that being able to kill Muzan Kibutsuji makes my life worthwhile."

Roa didn't linger on that topic and shifted the conversation, asking, "What will happen to the Hashira? And what about the Demon Slayer Corps members?"

Kagaya Ubuyashiki smiled and said, "Originally, we were supposed to disband completely, but for some unknown reason, the higher-ups changed their minds. They decided to keep about a hundred members and rename the Demon Slayer Corps, transforming it into a national police force. I gave everyone a choice: those who wanted to stay could stay, and those who wanted to leave could go."

Roa nodded. Kagaya Ubuyashiki's so-called change of heart was likely due to that wealthy uncle's intervention. Roa hadn't expected him to have some influence.

However, having power didn't mean they would be connected to Roa in the future.

After chatting with Kagaya Ubuyashiki for a while longer, Roa decided to take Mitsuri Kanroji and bid farewell to Kagaya Ubuyashiki and Amane Ubuyashiki.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki nodded, watching Roa and Mitsuri Kanroji leave, murmuring, "Young people are really great."

Amane Ubuyashiki beside him smiled and said, "We're still young too."

Kagaya Ubuyashiki nodded, wrapping his arm around Amane Ubuyashiki and laughing, "Indeed, we are still young."

By the time everything was settled, it was around five in the afternoon.

The evening glow bathed the forest in a golden hue.

Life continued as usual; at night, they discussed origins, and during the day, Roa taught Mitsuri Kanroji how to learn the Sword God style.

Mitsuri Kanroji made rapid progress, quickly reaching the beginner level of the Sword God style. This was partly due to her existing foundation, but Roa felt she was more suited to the techniques of the North God style.

Although Paul repeatedly referred to the North God style as inferior, the truth was that any swordsmanship, when cultivated to the extreme, was incredibly powerful.

Realizing this, after a month of practicing with Mitsuri Kanroji, Roa decided to return to his original world.

This world lacked magic, so practicing swordsmanship couldn't be as powerful as in the "Mushoku Tensei" world.

With that thought, Roa smiled at Mitsuri Kanroji and said, "I'll be taking you to my side soon."

Mitsuri Kanroji yawned and nodded.

It was morning, and Mitsuri Kanroji had just woken up. The previous night's activities had significantly affected her sleep quality.

However, despite the impact, Mitsuri Kanroji was still quite energetic.

As she prepared to get up and tidy her somewhat messy hair, she curiously asked, "Where is your hometown? Do we need to take a bus? Or a car?"

Roa wore a mysterious smile and said to Mitsuri Kanroji, "You'll find out soon."

Mitsuri Kanroji nodded, and as Roa looked out at the morning light, he said, "I'll go prepare now and come to pick you up in the afternoon or evening."

Mitsuri Kanroji nodded, glancing at the wooden sword placed nearby. After hesitating for a moment, she suddenly asked Roa, "Do you need my help?"

Roa chuckled and gently patted Mitsuri Kanroji's forehead, saying, "No need."

Then he stood up and walked outside.

It was time to end the world of "Demon Slayer"!

So, back to reality!

Roa walked into the courtyard, took a deep breath of fresh air, and headed down the mountain.

Mitsuri Kanroji watched Roa's retreating figure, yawned lazily, and got up to wash up.

After summoning the system panel and confirming that Mitsuri Kanroji could no longer see him, he focused his mind.

His consciousness began to sink, as if struck by a heavy hammer, and he felt his awareness becoming hazy.

The sensation of weightlessness in that space was quite uncomfortable, and when he opened his eyes again, he found himself standing in a forest at night.

Roa rubbed his temples. Even though his physical fitness and mental strength were exceptional, the feeling of being tossed around like in a washing machine nearly made him black out.

It was dark, and the forest was not safe, inhabited by various magical creatures.

The moment Roa appeared in the forest, the previously restless surroundings fell silent.

Roa sensed the magic flowing in the air and nodded in satisfaction. The world of "Demon Slayer" was still somewhat primitive compared to the "Mushoku Tensei" world.

Leaning casually against a rock, he began to check the notifications from the system.

*[You have received A-Class privileges 2.]

Roa fell into deep thought and suddenly curiously asked, "System, are you there?"

[Yes.]

"Why didn't clearing Sword Art Online before grant me A-level permissions?" This was the part that intrigued Roa the most.

[You have not fully cleared Sword Art Online.]

Roa pondered for a moment and understood what the other party meant; there was still much of the Sword Art Online storyline left, and what he had experienced was only a part of it. Realizing this, Roa nodded, reluctantly agreeing with the system's statement.

Roa did not dwell on this issue any longer and then asked, "How do I summon Mitsuri Kanroji from the Demon Slayer world?"

As soon as Roa's thought finished, a transparent panel appeared in front of him, displaying various characters related to him.

The first character listed was Kirito.

This made Roa fall silent for a moment.

Kirito, huh. Why is he listed first?

Curiously glancing at the price tag next to him, it required S-level permissions, and why was he so expensive?

Clicking on the avatar to view, a row of details appeared in front of Roa.

Character: Kirito

Evaluation: Child of the World.

Summoning Cost: S-level Permission * 1

Roa fell into silence. Although Kirito's strength was not particularly strong, he could even be considered an ordinary person, with his only outstanding trait being his neural reflexes.

However, even in terms of neural reflexes, he could only be considered a standout among ordinary people.

Yet, despite this, the summoning cost was still absurdly high.

S-level Permission * 1, to be honest, Roa found it hard to understand this operation.

Naturally, when faced with something he didn't understand, Roa began to inquire with the system, asking, "How is this summoning rule calculated?"

[The character's storyline identity accounts for 50%, and strength accounts for the remaining 50%.]

Roa began to think, carefully calculating for a while, but felt something was off. He asked again, "Kirito, as a Child of the World, but being an ordinary person, why is he so expensive?"

[The price for a Child of the World has always been this high. Storyline characters are influenced by the world's will, and sufficient permissions must be paid to summon them to this world.]

This reason was somewhat acceptable.
