Reid sneered at Denzel, his eyes blazing with hatred. "Well, well, well. Look what we have here. The great Denzel, brought low by just twelve of my pack members."Denzel's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched in anger. "Reid, you're a fool for trying this again."Reid laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "Oh, I'm not trying anything, Denzel. I'm succeeding. You see, I've been planning this for a long time, ever since you threw me out of the park like the trash I am."Denzel's eyes flashed with anger, but Reid continued, his voice dripping with venom. "You think you're so much better than me, don't you, Denzel? With your precious girlfriend, your little Banshee seer, who thinks she's so much better than everyone else just because she can foresee things."Reid's eyes seemed to bore into Denzel's soul. "But she's not here now, is she? She's not here to protect you from me. And even if she was, it wouldn't matter. Because I have the upper hand now."Denzel's fists clenched his body tense with rage. "You'll never win, Reid. I'll always be one step ahead of you."Reid laughed again, the sound sending shivers down Denzel's spine. "We'll see about that, Denzel. You see, I've been gathering allies, building my strength. And now, I'm ready to take what's mine."Reid's eyes seemed to gleam with triumph. "You're a relic of the past, Denzel. We'll find a way to stop it."But Nira just shook her head, her eyes fixed on some point in the distance. "I've seen it," she whispered. "I've seen his death. It's inevitable."Cordelia tried to grab Nira's hands, but she pulled away, her eyes flashing with desperation. "I have to try," she said, her voice rising. "I have to try and save him."And with that, Nira began to chant, her voice rising and falling in a hypnotic rhythm. She spoke words of ancient power, calling on the spirits to aid her. But as she spoke, her voice faltered. She felt the weight of fate bearing down on her, crushing her."It's not working," she whispered, her eyes wide with horror. "I can feel it. He's meant to die."Cordilia's face was pale, her eyes filled with tears. "Nira, don't say that," she whispered. "We can find another way."But Nira just shook her head, her eyes fixed on some point in the distance. "I have to try," she whispered. "I have to try and save him."As she spoke, Nira's body began to glow with a soft, white light. Together, they fought in perfect sync, their movements a blur of fur and claws. The werewolves were quickly overwhelmed, but some escaped into the bush. Reid vanished into the darkness, his eyes glowing with hatred. Denzel had defeated them; they were happy that they had killed a significant number of the Bluefur's members. But will they still be happy after finding out the reason behind their victory?
