Chapter 53: Zaiko, Just So-So
"Did anything happen during these three years?" Lin Qi glanced indifferently at the leisurely Elder Kai, guessing that nothing significant had occurred.
Kibito Kai was still lost in his thoughts and hadn't come back to reality.
"Everything has been quite peaceful..." Elder Kai closed the magazine he was reading, set it aside, and sipped tea leisurely.
"Shh—"
"It's about that child trained by Lila..."
Before Elder Kai could finish speaking, Lin Qi disappeared once again before their eyes.
"So... what exactly is Lin Qi up to? Where did he go before?" Kibito Kai rubbed his chin, puzzled, as he looked at Elder Kai.
"That Lila, and that powerful child—are they just going to be ignored?"
"Hmph... How would I know! We can't beat them anyway... and neither can Goku and the others..." Elder Kai snorted coldly. "Why worry about so much?"
"Then let me check? Maybe Lord Lin Qi is going to find them!" Kibito Kai reached out and picked up the crystal ball nearby.
"Eh... Lord Lin Qi can actually move in a vacuum?" Kibito Kai leaned closer to the crystal ball in curiosity.
The universe was perpetually dark. Lin Qi scanned his surroundings.
After confirming the location Elder Kai had mentioned, he briefly sensed the area before disappearing again.
"Is it around here?" Lin Qi surveyed the area near a planet in North Galaxy's G63 region, Frieza's homeworld.
The sky was silent and starry, while the land below was barren and desolate.
"Who's there?" Lin Qi's sudden appearance quickly alarmed the people in a cave below.
Lin Qi smirked. Under the faint starlight, he gazed at the person emerging from the cave—a man with white and purple hair and wearing green martial arts attire.
Behind the man was a petite woman, Lila, the Western Supreme Kai.
"Heh... I've finally found you!" Lin Qi's face broke into an excited smile as he descended from midair.
"Who are you?" Lila squinted at Lin Qi as he landed, quickly noticing the tail behind him. "A Saiyan?"
"...I hear you plan to go to Earth to find Son Goku?" Lin Qi glanced at Lila indifferently but focused more on Zaiko.
"How do you know our plans?" Lila frowned, her expression filled with doubt. "I haven't even decided when to go yet..."
"No need to go..." Lin Qi looked at Zaiko. "Because I've come!"
"Who exactly are you? What's your relationship with Son Goku? How do you know him?" Lila grew increasingly wary, her gaze toward Lin Qi filled with killing intent.
"Take him down, Zaiko!"
No one could hinder their plans!
"Yes, Mother!" Zaiko responded indifferently. He carelessly fired a ki blast at Lin Qi.
Lin Qi smirked, casually deflecting the approaching ki blast with his hand. With a sneer, he said, "Show me some real skills!"
Is this level of energy supposed to insult someone?
The ki blast flew off and landed not far behind Lin Qi, instantly creating a massive crater and stirring up billowing smoke.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
The deafening sound shook the ground violently.
Watching the scene in the crystal ball, Kibito Kai widened his eyes. "Why is Lord Lin Qi only now going to find the Western Supreme Kai?"
"Who knows... Maybe something delayed him for three years!" Elder Kai glanced at the crystal ball, uninterested, and picked up his magazine again.
What could possibly delay him for three years had nothing to do with Elder Kai!
Lila was somewhat stunned as she looked at Lin Qi in the rolling smoke. "You... who exactly are you?"
"That's not important. I'm just here to find Son Goku's son, Zaiko!" With a low shout, Lin Qi entered Super Saiyan 5 form.
"You actually know that Zaiko is Son Goku's son?" Lila was even more shocked. "What else do you know?"
This man... must not be allowed to live!
"That transformation of yours..." For the first time, Zaiko's expression changed. He looked at Lin Qi in astonishment. "Is that a Saiyan transformation?"
Sensing Lin Qi's overwhelming strength, Zaiko turned to look at the equally stunned Lila. "Mother, didn't you say I was the strongest in the universe?"
His previous power should have been enough to defeat his so-called father's Super Saiyan 4 form...
"You are undoubtedly the strongest in the universe, born from the genes of the greatest warrior and a god like me!" Lila's face showed a confident smile.
That earlier move didn't mean anything; she had absolute confidence in Zaiko!
"Is that so?" Lin Qi shrugged, getting into a battle stance. "If you want to dominate the universe, you'll have to defeat me first!"
"Hmph! Do you think a strange hair color transformation is enough to defeat my Zaiko?" Lila's expression turned vicious.
"No one can stop us from ruling the universe! Zaiko, kill him!"
Facing the silver-haired Lin Qi, Zaiko felt immense pressure but revealed a bloodthirsty grin. "There's no one stronger than me!"
Zaiko launched himself at Lin Qi with explosive speed.
The gusts generated by his charge forced Lila to retreat awkwardly, dodging in panic.
"I hope you won't disappoint me!" Lin Qi coldly blocked Zaiko's fist with his hand.
"Hmph! Let's see how long you can keep up that arrogance!" Zaiko sneered as his blocked fist was followed by another rapid punch.
Lin Qi laughed mockingly and countered with his own punch. The moment their fists collided, Zaiko was sent flying by the tremendous force.
Lin Qi looked at the retreating Zaiko and sneered coldly. "Hurry up and show me your true strength!"
Hovering midair, Zaiko stabilized himself, staring at his trembling arm in shock. His opponent's strength was enormous!
One punch had sent him flying?!
Zaiko no longer dared to underestimate Lin Qi. With a roar, he unleashed more power, charging a massive ki wave in his palm and firing it at Lin Qi.
Lin Qi remained unfazed, standing still as the massive energy wave engulfed him. As the explosion's blinding light faded, he emerged unscathed.
"Hmph, just another braggart... Typical Saiyan behavior!" Lila mocked as she watched the dissipating smoke.
Emerging from the smoke, Lin Qi stood unharmed. "Is that all you've got?"
"Damn it..." Zaiko gritted his teeth, flying at Lin Qi with a flurry of punches and kicks, each strike filled with rage.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Lin Qi dodged with ease, letting out a mocking laugh. Without hesitation, he delivered a devastating uppercut to Zaiko's jaw, sending him crashing back to the ground.
