Tiger 10:30 A.M. Eighth Day
Despite what Snake said, it still took me thirty minutes of complaining for me to convince him to open his door and let me in. The weapons weren't really hidden anywhere special, just a pile on the floor. And damn were there a lot of them.
"They went all out for this," I mumble, my eyes shining as I take a step closer. There are knives, hammers, lighters, I spot a gun or two, and even a sword is sitting neatly on top of the pile.
"Back up, I don't want you grabbing one." Snake chides, placing his hand out and forcing me back.
"You're no fun, boo," I whine, sticking my tongue out. He sticks his tongue out as well, and then seems to realize what he did as his ears turn a bright red.
"So fucking childish." I hear him murmur.
"So what are you gonna do with them?" I ask, inching closer again and succeeding in picking up the sword. It's heavier than I thought it'd be.
"I don't know, I'll probably just keep them here, no way I trust the others with them." He states, grabbing the sword out of my hands and throwing it back on the pile.
"You could at least organize them," I tell him.
"It's not like I'm going to use them, I'll just let them sit there until we escape or whatever." He replies, brushing it off.
"Hm, but won't the others be suspicious of you if somebody else dies?" I ask, tilting my head.
"Maybe, but I'd rather hope this will prevent another murder." He says, though his expression tells me he doesn't think it will.
"Well, if you're going to be a bore all day, I'm gonna find someone else to bug." I yawn exaggeratedly, and he fixes me with a glare as I smirk back.
"I'm going to go look for more weapons, so do whatever you want." He huffs, pushing on my back to force me to leave the room.
"Fine, fine, I get it," I say, stumbling out of the room as he locks the door behind him. Left on my lonesome, I have to now find some other way to entertain myself. I could try to annoy Rooster, but her voice annoys me sometimes when she starts shrieking.
Dog and Boar are usually hanging out together, so I'd rather not get in the middle of that. Horse and Ox were giving each other googly eyes earlier…safe to say I'd rather not bother them just in case.
Rabbit was scared of me, and Monkey was boring. That left one option for me, so I quickly went off to find him. It was pretty easy as I only had to walk down the hallway a bit to find him staring at a piece of art on the wall.
Sheep had been pretty isolated since the beginning of this game; most of the others paired off, and he was left on the outskirts. Though he didn't seem to mind, he seemed kind of airheaded. I quickly approach him and glance at the painting he's looking at.
It's just a bunch of abstract shapes, nothing I can make sense of, but Sheep is staring at it with critical eyes.
"You seeing something?" I ask him. He doesn't flinch at the sound of my voice, only turning his eyes to me for a second before they're back on the painting.
"Not really, art is different for everyone…what do you think about the piece?" He questions. A thoughtful hand on his chin.
"Uhmm, just looks like a bunch of shit shapes, feels like something a kindergartener could do," I answer honestly. It really is all I see, a white background with a blue circle and a few other colored shapes.
"Haha." He lets out a short puff of laughter at my answer.
"What, you see something different? Or special?" I ask, heavy quotation marks around the special part, if there is anything special about this painting, I will shoot myself with the gun in Snake's room…whoops, shouldn't let my thoughts stray to that.
"Nope, I feel the exact same way. I wasn't well-liked in my art school because of the way I viewed art." He doesn't seem to notice my slight pause as he replies.
"Ah." I hum in acknowledgement.
"So what did you want to see me for?" He turns away from the painting and gazes at me instead.
"Not much, I was bored and wanted to hang out with someone," I say, shrugging my shoulders.
"You're not with your friend? Snake?" He asks.
"Nah, he's busy looking for weapons, and while that sounds cool, I'm pretty sure it's tedious." I sigh, just thinking about it makes me bored.
"If we want to do something fun…we should go bother the others." Sheep says after a beat.
"That sounds like a fantastic fucking idea." I grin. A few minutes later, we're barreling down the halls after Rabbit. She had been wandering around when we found her. I only wanted to ask her a couple of questions, but she started fleeing as soon as she saw my face. So obviously, I gave chase, and Sheep followed after asking if we were playing tag.
"They're trying to kill me!" Rabbit shrieks, stumbling around a corner. I follow a second later only to see her on the floor. She had bumped into someone, and when I flicked my gaze upward, I tried to stifle a laugh.
She had run right into Snake, who was currently holding a small scalpel in his hand as he glanced down at her with a cold expression.
"Ah…uh…um." She stutters, her face going pale.
"You need something?" Snake asks.
"Pleasedon'tkillme!" She rushes her words, and it comes out as an incoherent mumble instead.
"We're not going to kill you, we just wanted to bother you for a bit, though this is a lot funnier." I chuckle.
"Bother me about what?" She eventually gains the courage to ask.
"I don't know, this and that." Sheep shrugs.
"You were chasing after me like madmen and didn't even know what you were going to ask?!" She shrieks.
"...Maybe we didn't think that through," I say, turning to Sheep.
"Indeed." He agrees.
"You all are fucking stupid." Snake sighs, facepalming.
"What's going on? I heard screaming." Horse suddenly rushes into the hallway, takes one look at Snake holding a scalpel and a pale Rabbit on the floor, and tackles him.
"Wait, wait, wait!" Snake calls out in vain.
"Hahahaha, aw man, that was great." I laugh, Horse was not sitting on top of Snake, pinning him to the ground.
"Huh? Wait, what's happening?" Horse asks.
"Snake was looking for more weapons when Rabbit ran into him, he's not murdering anyone," I tell her. She quickly scrambles off him with a guilty expression.
"I'm so sorry, I really didn't mean to do that." She apologizes.
"It's fine." Snake huffs, standing up and patting himself down.
"Well, seeing as you're all gathered like this, I was wondering if we could all stay after dinner for a talk tonight?" She questions, turning to us with a hopeful glance.
"Sure." Sheep answers.
"I guess." Rabbit agrees.
"...Fine." Snake reluctantly replies.
"No problem." I grin. She breathes out a sigh of relief before waving and heading off down the hall. I turn to Snake, who's watching her go with an annoyed expression, but when he catches me looking, it melts into one of cold arrogance.
"Well, I'm off, enjoy…whatever it is you're doing," Snake says, silently stalking down the hall toward his room, scalpel still in hand.
"That guy seriously gives me the creeps…but you both do as well." Rabbit shivers, standing up.
"Looks like someone's gotten braver," I mutter.
"Hey! I'm not scared all the time, usually. I'm just stressed." She huffs, "Besides, what did you want to talk about anyway?" She asks.
"Ah, I was super bored, right? So I went to bother Sheep, and then he suggested we bother other people, and then we ran into you. So I was wondering if you wanted to go bother someone else?" I question.
"You guys are so lame." She sighs.
"There isn't much else to do here." Sheep adds.
"...Fine." She reluctantly agrees, and with that, we decide to go and snoop on Horse. I wasn't the only one who suspected she had something going on with Ox.
