Lily's condition still couldn't be considered stable.
Even after the surgery, she hadn't regained consciousness. The bleeding that nearly affected her nerves, and the hard blow to her head, had left her in a mild coma. Since last night, Lily still hadn't woken up. The news had even reached Helena and Daniel. Naturally, Alger's parents were worried about their daughter-in-law. They initially planned to fly to Japan, but Alger stopped them. He assured them everything would be alright and that he would handle everything. He also asked his parents to take over the company while he was abroad.
"Are you sure we don't need to go to Tokyo, Al? Has Lily woken up? Is she okay?"
The flood of questions over the video call made Alger sigh and shake his head.
"She hasn't woken up yet, Mom. She's still unconscious. The surgery last night and the severe head injury made it difficult for her to regain consciousness."
