After capturing two Pokémon, he returned home, took out some Rare Candies from his storage box, and began power leveling.
He didn't level up Cosmog yet, since he hadn't caught Necrozma. Necrozma would come with a random fusion item.
Both Solgaleo and Lunala could open Ultra Wormholes, but since he already had Cosmog, he planned to fuse it with Necrozma directly.
The blue fusion item was for Lunala, while the yellow one was for Solgaleo.
Before long, he leveled Ralts up to 20. A bright glow of evolution surrounded her.
Yang Tao squinted as he watched Ralts evolve, excitement bubbling inside him.
When the light faded, a small Pokémon, less than a meter tall, appeared before him.
It was Kirlia!
Looking at the quiet, doll-like Kirlia, Yang Tao debated whether to evolve her further.
"No, I have to. There's no getting stronger without evolving. This world is way too dangerous!"
Even though Kirlia looked adorable, he had to let her evolve for her own strength.
With some reluctance, Yang Tao took out more Rare Candies and fed them to Kirlia. Soon, the glow of evolution surrounded her once more.
Through the shining light, he could faintly see her changing form. Yang Tao smiled in satisfaction. If strength required sacrifices, so be it.
When the light faded, Gardevoir stood before him.
Her green bangs framed her red eyes, and her slender frame was wrapped in an elegant white gown. Beneath the flowing dress, her legs were long and graceful.
Yang Tao wiped the potion residue from the corner of his mouth and looked at Gardevoir.
Was it just his imagination, or was she taller than expected? She looked to be around 1.7 meters.
In his world, Pokémon could have different sizes, and individual variations were common.
"Alright, now that I have Gardevoir, it's time to head to the mountains and find Necrozma."
But as he glanced up at the sun high in the sky—
"I'll go at night. Might as well rest for now!"
Necrozma appeared in mountainous terrain. As the 'World Ender,' its spawn rate was incredibly low.
But if fusion was the goal, he had to go all in.
...
The moon rose quickly—happy, relaxing times always seemed to pass in a flash.
Yang Tao, looking exhausted, stepped out of his room. During his break, he had taken the time to reorganize his home—a task that ended up being bigger than expected.
Stretching his sore back, he climbed onto Arceus' back and flew toward the mountains.
This time, he didn't open the chat group. Instead, he summoned Gardevoir and Cosmog, battling wild Pokémon non-stop.
This helped trigger legendary spawns.
And so, his routine began—waiting for Necrozma to spawn at night and crafting items during the day.
"It finally appeared!"
Seeing Necrozma in front of him, he couldn't contain his excitement!
"Do you know what I've been through these past three days? Cosmog has evolved! You made the choice, idol!"
Necrozma's dark, diamond-shaped body had a strange kind of beauty.
To be honest, most Pokémon looked out of place in this blocky world, but this one was different—it fit in perfectly.
Without saying a word, I threw the Master Ball. As I watched it land, it felt like Ultra Necrozma was calling out to me.
Yang Tao took out the item Necrozma was holding. "Yellow? The Solar Fusion Device?"
He was quite pleased. In his opinion, the sun form looked way better than the moon form.
As the sun slowly rose, he pulled out a Rare Candy and fed it to Cosmoem.
The evolution glow was much bigger than usual, but it quickly faded, leaving behind Solgaleo.
Its large body seemed to shine with sunlight, and its lion-like mane made it look incredibly majestic. Keeping it as a mount didn't seem like a bad idea.
"It's fine! It's fine! It'll look even cooler after fusion," Yang Tao muttered to himself.
He pressed the fusion device against Solgaleo, and Necrozma's entire body shattered into pieces, flying toward the sun lion.
