Yang Tao opened the loot chest dropped by the Phantom Knight boss. The items inside were great for beginners, but for him, they weren't much use anymore.
"Next up is the Tower of Wraiths! Twilight Forest is almost cleared! Let's see what kind of modules I'll get this time!"
After packing up, Yang Tao headed straight for the Tower of Wraiths. Now that all the Twilight Forest bosses' locations had been marked, there was no need to search for them one by one.
Teleporting to the front of the tower, he looked up at the massive structure. It was the tallest and biggest building he had ever seen, piercing through the clouds. The Lich Castle he had visited before seemed tiny in comparison.
Yang Tao didn't bother going inside. With his ability to fly, there was no need to explore the tower's traps, monsters, and maze-like passages.
Even in the past, he would just build a staircase with cobblestone on the outside. There were plenty of chests and ores inside, but at his current level, they weren't all that tempting anymore.
"So tall!" Yang Tao flew straight upward. Soon, he passed the clouds, but the top was still out of sight.
Just then, the Wraith boss appeared above him and launched a fireball straight at him!
This Wraith was much larger than usual, with red markings all over its body.
Boom! The fireball struck a nearby structure, instantly setting it ablaze!
The Wraith let out a deafening wail, and from the sky, a rain of Wraith Tears began to fall. Yang Tao carefully dodged them, knowing they were part of the boss's attacks.
At that moment, the sky darkened, and rain began to pour, as if even the heavens were responding to the Wraith's sorrow.
With a clap of thunder, countless smaller Wraiths appeared in the sky and charged at Yang Tao.
Yang Tao grumbled, "Ganging up on me? How shameless!" conveniently ignoring the fact that he had come to Twilight Forest in an overpowered quantum suit.
He pulled out his bow and fired at the massive Wraith in the sky. The injured Wraith flew higher and higher, so Yang Tao landed on the tower's roof, taking down smaller Wraiths to charge up the rooftop mechanism.
"Come down here, you!" Once fully charged, he activated the device. A red beam shot into the sky, dragging the Wraith boss down.
Seizing the moment, Yang Tao attacked relentlessly. His weapon's damage was incredibly high, and in one go, the boss's health dropped to just one-fifth.
Instead of using the device again, Yang Tao kept chasing the boss, attacking nonstop.
"Finally, it's dead!!" Watching the Wraith vanish, Yang Tao let out a sigh of relief.
"Open the treasure chest!"
Yang Tao flew back to the top of the tower. A chest appeared there—the reward for defeating the boss.
He pulled out the item he had been longing for the most: the Twilight Wraith Trophy. It was the only trophy that could move, making it Yang Tao's favorite decoration.
Looking at the trophy in his hand, the wraith on it seemed to float as if it were alive. But the tiny wraith wasn't scary at all—in fact, it was pretty cute! Yang Tao reached out to touch it and was surprised by how good it felt, soft and smooth like fine leather.
"Looks like I need to farm more of these. This would make a great gift!"
After storing the trophy away, he got ready to head home.

"The bosses are getting harder, and my energy is draining way too fast! I don't even know when I'll be able to craft the Inferno Set or the Endless Set… If worst comes to worst, even a chopping board would do!"
Yang Tao, who had always been a casual player, mumbled to himself about these ridiculously difficult mods.
