The "Mana Phantom Gift," as its name suggests, transforms the body of the person and everything they carry into a phantom made of mana.
Perhaps the most obvious feature of this form is the immense resistance to physical attacks and the false immortality it grants the user, making lethal strikes, like decapitation, ineffective even when charged with mana.
However, the true advantage of the Mana Phantom lies in its superior ability to transfer mana.
In this form, the user can easily transfer mana throughout their entire body without any hindrances.
Edward exploited this ability to create the "Burning Star Form," which involves detonating mana within the heart of the mana.
Typically, detonating mana inside the heart of mana is used as a method of suicide by captured soldiers, as the unstable mana spreads throughout the body and transforms into a massive bomb.
But what happened with Edward was different. In Volume 2, when he was captured, he decided to detonate his heart of mana while in the Mana Phantom form.
Something strange occurred: the raging mana merged with the Mana Phantom form, granting Edward immense power that allowed him to escape the vampire's grasp.
Now, in the same form, I decided to do something similar. With a look full of madness, I detonated the Mana Stars within my heart of mana, which turned into raging blue flames that surged wildly toward the walls of the heart of mana, shattering them.
However, the flames pierced the crystal wall, which became almost transparent, and continued to surge outward, merging with the mana surrounding me, completely changing its nature.
Alexander witnessed the scene as Edward transformed into the Mana Phantom form for several seconds before mysterious flames erupted from his heart, merging with his body to turn him into a phantom of blue fire. Even his sword transformed into a sword of blue fire.
Upon seeing this, an ominous shiver ran through Alexander's heart as he gritted his teeth and unleashed his full power, causing his golden armor to shine brighter.
Part of the armor that covered his wound transformed into spikes that penetrated his body, forcing the wound to close, causing excruciating pain. But he endured the pain and prepared to fight against the blue fire phantom.
However, Edward simply waved his sword, sending an arc of blue flames toward Alexander.
Alexander attempted to evade the attack by jumping to the side, only to be shocked by the sight of the arc exploding into a sea of blue flames that engulfed half of the battlefield, temporarily blinding Alexander.
Seizing the opportunity, Edward surged toward Alexander at an incredible speed.
But when Alexander lost his sight, he did not panic; instead, he jumped away from the sea of blue fire, trying to use his broad sword as a shield.
Yet, Edward changed direction with astonishing speed, attacking him from his unprotected side.
By the time Alexander regained his sight, it was too late to attempt to block the attack. All he could do was grit his teeth and inject mana into his armor, causing it to shine like a miniature sun.
But his armor, which seemed unbreakable, shattered into golden shards from Edward's sword, which cut through his body as easily as a knife through butter.
Fortunately, the wound did not bleed due to the burning effect.
Alexander felt the pain of the burn but endured it and began to retreat.
However, Edward did not allow him to escape, clinging to him and attacking desperately with madness.
In that moment, Alexander had no choice but to throw away his sword, which had become a burden, and transform his armor to reveal spikes from his gauntlets, using them to punch the fire phantom clinging to him.
Yet, the blue fire phantom remained unaffected, continuing to swing its blazing sword at Alexander.
Alexander gritted his teeth and kept punching the phantom, enduring the agony of being shredded and burned alive.
But despite this desperate move, Alexander's situation did not improve; it only worsened. His armor shattered, his flesh was torn and burned, but his heart remained filled with determination.
He did not give up.
He persisted for victory.
He persisted for survival.
He persisted despite the pain.
He persisted even in the darkest moments.
As his mind was drowning in pain and adrenaline, Alexander remembered his first battle
