Helena continued to act like she was still too weak from the Wolfsbane in her system. For some reason, despite the multiple doses from earlier, she didn't feel as weak as when she first came to. She couldn't help but wonder if it was thanks to her Hybrid heritage that she was recovering quickly this time around.
"So weak," the woman in front of her mocked, pulling her back from her thoughts. "I really don't understand what he sees in you."
The woman clicked her tongue as she walked around the room.
"If I had my way you'd be dead by now," the woman said. "Unfortunately this poor excuse for an Alpha wants you alive. Says he needs you to get that Mate of yours, so for now we'll play nice."
The woman once again laughed as her heels clicked on the floor. Helena could tell she was studying her, probably checking to see if she showed any signs of recovery from the poison.
