"You have sent 1 point to player Ghostdoctor."
"You have sent 1 point to player Ghostdoctor."
It's a painfully long process sending a detailed instruction to Ghostdoctor through point transactions.
Why are we using morse code anyways? Using 1 to 26 points which can correspond to the 26 English alphabets would work too, and it's quicker.
Then again I just spent money gambling in the tournament, morse code is the cheaper option.
After I sent my instructions, it's a matter of time for Ghostdoctor to carry it out, my job now is to enjoy the tournament as to not appear suspicious to whoever might be following me.
Since the perspective of the player I wish to watch will only be displayed to me, I can watch whoever I want without spiking suspicions, I don't necessarily have to watch Living Cemetery and support them as an act.
Well if that's the case...
"Round 2 of this month's Afterlife Tournament begins in 5!" The holographic hosts announces exuberantly.
"4!" The hosts puts one finger down in sync as in counting down with their fingers.
"3!" The host right in front of me winked at me, it's fake but I still gotta appreciate how cute she was.
"2!" The stadium roars in excitement, I could hear whistles, cheers, claps and many more.
"1! Begin!"
"Silencer's POV." I thought in my head.
The holographic hosts starts transforming and reshaping themselves into dilapidated skyscrapers, this is silencer's POV.
"LET'S GOO GUILLOTINE!!!"
"THE ROYALS ROCKS!"
"WOOOOOOOOOOOOO."
Goddamn is it a noisy place, my eardrums hurts from the excessive enthusiasm of the crowd.
In front of me, on the centre of the stadium, it's as if I'm watching a 3D movie. I don't see silencer himself, but that's definitely because I'm watching through his very eyes, it's first person perspective after all.
He sprinted around the abandoned city that I'm familiar with until eventually reaching a teammate of his, the nametag above reads "bullet".
The second...no wait, the third strongest player in the game based on power levels or physical strength, Eleanor recently surpassed him.
Bullet was a man radiating masculinity with immaculate beard and slicked back brown hair.
They didn't take the abandoned city's npc's appearance, otherwise I would've recognise him as just another character from Campaign, and he would be wearing white collared shirt instead of that denim jacket.
He's the Fighter of the Guillotine alliance, wonder what weapon he has being the dullest class of all five.
Just as I thought it'd be boring, he pulled out a double bladed sword that's probably 75 inches or longer. Coolest part about it, it's completely lit with blue flames.
And I get a stupid heavy generic ass sword?!
sighs
Guillotine was up against the eighth best alliance in the game, KHV, whatever that's the abbreviation for.
So I didn't bet on them despite knowing they supposedly won every single Afterlife Tournament ever, the chances of Living Cemetery surviving against a random alliance is probably higher.
Soon enough, before silencer could even gather up all his teammates, he encounters not just one, but the entire team of five of KHV.
None of the members of KHV is from the top 15 players, but with their nametags, I checked their profiles and all of them has power levels over 5000, all top 50 players at least.
Silencer encountered all five coincidentally in a dark but somewhat wide alleyway in the abandoned city, rotten luck.
The five players of KHV launches their best attack, their Mage with telekinetic abilities threw rubble at silencer and bullet, their Marksman fired an rpg in which it's explosive potential is boosted by the team's Support.
I thought silencer was gonna run, but faced with such intimidating and powerful attacks, neither him nor bullet even flinched.
Instead, the faces of those who launched the attacks looked incredibly anxious and uneasy.
The flying rubbles and the rocket-propelled grenade gets closer and closer, but silencer walked confidently towards them.
All I could see was him lifting his right arm, I couldn't see his face as I'm on first person perspective.
But what's next, is terrifying destructive power of our top player of the game.
Lightning bolts is summoned and fired from his palm and around his hand, triggering the grenade to explode mid-air, roasting the rubble into ashes.
The lightning bolts continues it's journey forward in horrifying speed, it never slowed even after piercing through all the obstacles.
The tank of KHV raises their shield and created a forcefield around his team. A futile effort, the lightning bolts passed through without slowing causing a massive explosion right on KHV.
I could hear gasps in the crowd, followed by roaring applause, I guess this perspective is very popular.
It hasn't even been 5 minutes, the match is already decided.
Against the eighth best alliance, silencer lifted his arm.
"Player Trent Stokes, Gravity, Sarah Stokes, Rocket and Law Shao An from KHV has been eliminated by silencer.
Guillotine advances to the next round, KHV is eliminated."
"Bullet's perspective." I thought to get a glance on the champion himself.
When the perspective switches to bullet's, all I could see was the tall and slim silhouette of a man in the ashes and smoke.
His body proportions are what a teenage boy like me desires, broad shoulder, slim waist.
When the ashes and smoke eventually disperses, I caught a glance of him, the champion, the man who dominated this game for as long as my uncle, a veteran remembers.
A strict face, threatening blue eyes, shaved face with a sharp jaw and medium length pitch black hair that covered one of his eyes.
When I say blue eyes, I don't mean the conventional blue iris. No, his entire eye was gleaming blue, lightning blue.
Eventually his eyes returned to normal, the completely blue state was probably conditions that occurs when he uses his powers.
What's left is indeed the conventional blue iris eyes, in a much darker hue of blue.
Well, that's unfair, he's lightyears ahead of second place and is also handsome? Can't say that face will attract much however, it's a pretty intimidating and threatening look.
Well, moving on to the next perspective, this one was one-sided and boring, it's not even 5 minutes long damn it.
"Reaper's perspective." I thought. It's good to gauge the strength of my current opponent after all.
Oh god, I regret everything, this is a mistake, I tuned in at the wrong time.
The second the perspective changes, I was greeted with blood splatter from a live decapitation.
The scythe of The Reaper was swung with so much force that it sliced straight through a player's neck, sending their decapitated head flying.
What a gory execution scene, urgh.
Reaper's a Mage too, this kind of strength in melee combat is rare for Mages.
The scythe she was holding glows red and it's swung at such a high speed that I can see afterimage of the red glow.
"Player Greg Schwartz from Life Force has been eliminated by The Reaper.
Living Cemetery advances to the next round, Life Force is eliminated."
"You won your bet. You are awarded 4000 points."
Well this tournament was a traumatising experience that only worsened my anxiety, these two are supposed to be my future opponents?
