Three Days Later…
The Broker returned. But this time, he wasn't alone.
With him came a collection of the most ambitious, powerful, and, most importantly, naïve villains. Each one had come for the same reason—to meet the man who had turned the criminal underworld on its head. The name Nuxsus had hit like a tidal wave, leaving bodies in its wake.
In the span of a single month, he had killed some of the most influential figures in the underworld.
Deathstroke,Brick,Lizard,Captain Cold,Cheshire,Green Lantern,Dr. Ivo And His Amazo,Joker,Killer Frost,Golden Glider and Finally Maxwell Lord
This kind of record didn't go unnoticed. It didn't just earn him respect—it commanded fear.
And fear was the greatest tool of all.
Word of Nuxsus' rise had spread fast. He wasn't just another warlord or upstart villain—he was something different, something that made even the most seasoned criminals reconsider their place in the world. That's why they came. Not to serve, but to see him. To test him.
Funny thing was—Nuxsus didn't have to seek them out.
They came to him.
And he welcomed all of them.
But rather than granting them the respect they thought they deserved, he treated the entire ordeal like a job interview.
One by one.
At first, they scoffed. Complained.
Men and women who had carved out reputations as untouchable killers, warlords, and masterminds sneered at the idea of standing in line to be "evaluated." They spoke among themselves, whispering their frustrations.
"We're too powerful for this nonsense.""He should be the one proving himself to us.""What kind of game is this?"
Then.
She walked in.
A single presence silenced the room, like a cold blade pressing against the neck of every arrogant fool in attendance.
Artoria Alter.
Her very aura was suffocating. Darkness wrapped around her like a shroud, her cold golden eyes scanning the crowd with disdain. She didn't need to speak—her presence alone screamed dominance.
And then?
Some of the so-called elite tried to test her.
Bane, the man who once broke the Bat, stepped forward first. Then Giganta, the titaness who could grow to immense size, loomed over her with an amused smirk.
It didn't matter.
They never got the chance to regret their mistake.
Their heads hit the floor before anyone could process what had happened. A single blur of movement, a flash of steel, and their lifeless bodies remained as a reminder.
Nuxsus was not someone to play with.
The ones who remained were the few who had enough sense to understand true power. But not all had the will to stay. Some turned, eager to flee.
They were allowed to leave of course...Or so they thought, Each of them was instantly killed upon leaving the door, this was to give the idea that Nuxsus will let them leave even if they failed....
But In Reality Anyone who knew about this gathering would leave one of two ways—as Nuxsus' servant… or as a corpse.
That had been the plan all along.
As the last of the fearful fell silent, Nuxsus sat comfortably in his chair, watching the room with amusement.
Harley curled up in his lap, giggling as she traced a finger along his chest, while Raven stood to his side, arms crossed, her dark eyes analyzing the remaining few.
The ones who remained had passed the first test.
But now?
It was time for the real evaluation.
Nuxsus smirked as The Broker and Darius moved into position, leading each candidate forward—one by one.
....
The Broker stepped forward, his expression unreadable. "Livewire," he said, gesturing toward a woman crackling with unstable energy. "That's her villain name. She's got electricity-based powers and has gone toe-to-toe with Supergirl more than once. She's also someone who seeks vengeance."
Livewire scoffed, crossing her arms. "I can talk for myself, y'know," she said, shooting the Broker a glare.
Nuxsus leaned back, his gaze sweeping over her. "Then tell me, Livewire—what's your real name?"
Livewire smirked, shaking her head. "Come on now, you know I can't give ya that."
Before she could continue, The Broker interjected. "Her real name is Leslie Willis, my Lord."
Leslie's body tensed as she snapped toward him. "How the fuck do you know that?"
Nuxsus ignored her question entirely. "That doesn't concern you, Leslie," he said smoothly. "What does concern me is why you're here." His tone shifted, cold and dismissive. "The listing said powerful and loyal. If you can't even get revenge on your own, then I fail to see how you qualify as either."
A pulse of electricity surged through Leslie's body, crackling in the air. The lights in the room flickered violently. "I'm plenty powerful," she spat, her voice filled with irritation.
The room barely had time to react before Nuxsus was in front of her.
Lightning met lightning.
The air around them vibrated with static as his presence engulfed hers. His eyes, sharp and predatory, locked onto hers with a silent challenge. Electricity sparked at the tips of his fingers, but unlike hers, his power didn't flicker or waver. It was controlled. Dense. Absolute.
He tilted his head slightly. "I too can do that…" he murmured.
Leslie's breath caught in her throat. Her instincts screamed at her—this wasn't a fight she could win.
His electricity wasn't like hers.
It didn't need a source. It wasn't wild or unstable. It was something far more terrifying—refined power.
She swallowed hard, her bravado shrinking slightly. Still, she held her ground. "Look," she said, forcing herself to stay composed. "If I wanted revenge on just anyone, I'd have done it myself. But Supergirl? She's too strong—even for me."
She exhaled sharply before meeting his gaze once more. "I need someone who can truly kill a Kryptonian." Her eyes gleamed with determination. "Like you."
Nuxsus smiled.
His movements were smooth, effortless as he stepped forward and wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close.
The moment he did, his Dark Whisper activated.
His Vampiric Charm slithered into her mind like a serpent, subtle yet irresistible.
"I gotta say…" he whispered, his voice like silk against her ear. "I like you, Leslie." His words dripped with an intoxicating warmth that made her body shiver. "You seem powerful. Confident."
Before she could react, he tilted her chin up, forcing her to look at him.
"And beautiful as well…"
Leslie's breath hitched. Her mind felt hazy, her body responding to him in ways she didn't understand. Her cheeks burned as his touch sent waves of warmth down her spine.
Then, he leaned in closer. His lips brushed against her ear.
"But are you loyal?"
Leslie recoiled, caught between confusion and something… primal.
Her thoughts raced. Why do I want him? Why is he so damn attractive?
And—why the hell am I wet?
She shook her head, trying to compose herself, but the moment she did, reality sank in.
This man was dangerous.
Deadly.
Overpowering.
And yet… she wanted him.
Leslie took a breath, gathering her thoughts. "Will I get my revenge?" she asked, her voice quieter now.
Nuxsus smiled, his thumb brushing against her cheek. "Is that what you desire?"
He leaned in once more, whispering—his words wrapping around her like a spell.
"As the Lord of Chaos… I shall fulfill that dream for you, Leslie. I will make Supergirl—" he paused, savoring the moment, "kneel."
Her body trembled.
"Yes…" she breathed, her voice laced with raw emotion.
Tears welled in her eyes as rage boiled to the surface. "She made me like this. Made me a monster. All because of her."
Nuxsus gently wiped a tear from her cheek.
"Shhhh…" he whispered, pulling her into his embrace. "Leave it all to me."
Leslie barely registered what was happening as his arms tightened around her.
Then—
A sharp, piercing pain.
His fangs sank into her neck.
As Nuxsus sank his fangs into Leslie's neck, her body shuddered violently. The resistance she had clung to so desperately melted away, replaced by something deeper—something uncontrollable.
Her breathing hitched, her muscles tensed, and a euphoric warmth spread through her veins as his fangs drew her blood. Her legs trembled, and she let out a shaky gasp, her body surrendering to the overwhelming sensation.
His grip tightened around her, one hand sliding lower, his fingers digging into her curves. She didn't resist. Couldn't. A wave of heat coursed through her body, her limbs going weak as a sharp, dizzying pleasure crashed over her.
And then—her body gave in completely.
A breathless moan escaped her lips as an intense, shuddering release overtook her. Her vision blurred, her mind clouded with nothing but sensation. The world around her disappeared—there was only him.
Her knees buckled, and she slumped against his chest, her breathing ragged and uneven.
Nuxsus pulled back, his crimson eyes glowing with satisfaction as he wiped a stray drop of blood from his lips. He chuckled, enjoying the way her body trembled against him.
"Raven," he called smoothly.
From the shadows, Raven stepped forward, her expression unreadable as she took in the scene before her. Without a word, she reached out and caught Leslie before she could collapse completely.
"Take her away," Nuxsus ordered, his voice dripping with amusement. "She'll need some time to… recover."
Raven nodded, dragging the barely-conscious Livewire from his grasp.
Nuxsus then turned to the Broker, a wide, predatory grin spreading across his face.
"I hope you brought me more weak-willed people like her," he mused, his voice laced with dark delight. He ran a hand through his hair, exhaling in satisfaction.
"They're so easy to control…" His smile widened, his crimson eyes glinting with dangerous hunger.
"So, so easy."
