Fu Ling woke up to the sound of consistent knocking on the door. He looked through the pin hole and when he saw who it was, his lips turned up in a mocking laughter.
He turned back and washed his face in the bathroom then brushed his teeth and changed out of his pajamas before going to open the door.
He was slightly surprised she waited that long. He moved out of the way and she stride in with her nose up high.
The woman looked around in disgust and settled down on the sofa with a look of unwillingness on her face.
"So you left home to come and stay in this kind of environment?"
Fu Ling had no patience at all towards this mother
"If you have something to say, say it. I don't have time to waste with you"
The woman choked slightly and then cleared her throat
"I hear you've been quite busy lately"
Fu Ling was too lazy to play word gams with her
"Get to the point"
Being interrupted more than once, the woman became upset and stopped trying to play nice.
"Stop whatever you're doing to the Luo family. How did you even get the connections to go against such a big family? Listen to your mother don't keep making trouble everywhere. Apologize to the Luo family. In order to show your sincerity, you can help Xing Jie a little."
Fu Ling narrowed his eyes. He knew she must have something to ask from him but he didn't know she was here on behalf of the Luo family. This is terrible. She could no longer control Fu Ling.
Fu Ling watched her rush to the door before stopping her

The woman paused at the door and he laughed

He locked the front door and went to the kitchen to eat then went back to his room.
That day, another big piece of news about the Luo family broke out.

He threw the things to her and a glance made her face turn pale
"No no no how could this be? This isn't — how did this happen?"
There was also a voice recorder. Luo Xing Jie pressed play and the voice flowed out with some static.
"Tingting, you are born to soar higher. You are not meant for this life. You must marry Luo Xing Jie and become the young lady of the Luo family do you understand? ... Yes mum"
