Chapter 333 - Chapter 297 Bakudan Boys playing TMNT Part 2

The Bakudan Boys were ready. Their hands hovered over the buttons. Their eyes locked on the screen. And then—Shredder appeared.

A powerful 8-bit cinematic played out, its pixel art more dramatic than anything they'd seen yet. Shredder leapt down from a high-tech platform in the heart of his lair, his futuristic samurai armor glowing with crimson LEDs, shoulder plates flaring with digital flames. He landed with a thunderous stomp, sparks flying across the floor, and pointed his massive flaming Odachi toward the camera.

"So the reptiles dare enter my domain? Then taste defeat—and death! Die, reptiles!"

The boss fight kicked off with instant tension.

"Careful! That big-ass Odachi looks lethal!" Sakaki warned just as Shredder lunged across the screen in a massive sweeping slash.

Only Rikki's Michelangelo and Sakaki's Leonardo managed to dodge in time. Kumogi's Donatello and Sawada's Raphael were clipped, their health bars chunked by the sheer power of the flaming blade.

"Damn! Look at the damage!" Kumogi barked, already mashing buttons to reposition.

"I'll take the aggro!" Sawada growled. He executed Raphael's signature "Taunt" combo. "Come to Papa!" appeared on-screen, flashing red, and Shredder's attention locked in.

Rikki jumped in to support. "Pizza Time!" he announced, restoring Kumogi and Sawada's HP just in time for the next wave.

Sakaki was already planning the next step. "Kumogi—drone, now!"

Kumogi tapped the sequence with practiced ease. Two drones appeared behind Donatello—an upgrade he had chosen earlier in the game. They immediately began unloading projectiles, weaving through the chaos.

But Shredder adapted. With a roar, he aimed his gauntlet and fired a blast that struck one drone mid-air, disintegrating it instantly.

"What!? He can shoot down drones now?!" Kumogi yelled.

"Leadership boost coming up!" Sakaki shouted, slamming out the input. "Fight! And let's go, my brothers!" Leonardo's voice rang through the arcade as a glowing blue aura enveloped the team.

The fight escalated. Flaming slashes, spinning kicks, and teleportation attacks pushed the Bakudan Boys to their limits. Shredder's AI was relentless—unpredictable combos, AoE flames, and fake-out moves that made the team stay on their toes.

Then, the boss changed tactics. He stabbed the Odachi into the ground, causing it to explode in a burst of red energy. He tossed aside his sword and drew dual blades glowing with plasma.

And then he split.

Multiple Shredder clones blinked into existence, standing at all edges of the screen.

"Everyone take one clone!" Sakaki barked.

They split, dashing to separate corners, engaging the illusions in high-speed duels. Each clone had a different fighting pattern—some fast, some defensive, some spamming counterattacks. But the team adapted. One by one, the clones burst into static.

The real Shredder reappeared, glowing, hissing with fury. The final phase began.

Buffs, taunts, heals—every tool in their arsenal was deployed. The boys fought in rhythm. Drones and gadgets flanked, combos chained, and then finally Shredder fell, exploding into a blaze of glorious pixelated fire.

"YEAH!!" all four of them shouted in unison, fists in the air.

The victory cutscene played: Shredder limping away, climbing aboard a black chopper.

"I'm not done yet, reptiles!" he shouted as it took off.

The ending rolled. The turtles trained once more under Master Splinter, peaceful music playing over the image of them bowing together. It faded into the upgrade screen.

Sawada was buzzing. "Quick, unlock the characters!"

Sakaki nodded and pulled up to the shop. Eight medals each character cost 2 to unlock , so they can unlock them all.

First unlock: Casey Jones, long-haired vigilante in a hockey mask. His 8-bit intro had him smashing goons with a hockey stick.

"Yo, he looks badass," Sakaki said. "Like a streetfighter ninja."

Next: Cody from Final Fight. His intro showed him delivering brutal punches and a classic spinning kick, then punching the brick wall!.

"NO WAY!" Sakaki howled. "CODY! From Final Fight! He's HERE!"

Next up: Po, the kung-fu panda, twirling and punching enemies across the screen.

"He's fat, he's cute, and he's weird but lethal," Kumogi said, grinning.

Final unlock: Kim Possible, the red-haired spy. She dropped from a zipline, kicked a Foot Ninja, and saluted with a wink.

Rikki stares at Kim Possible 8 bit picture then says "Dibs. She's my wife now," Rikki said without a hint of irony.

Sawada chuckled and nodded proudly at Rikki, "That's how I felt when I first saw Zero Suit Samus."

But before anyone could celebrate further—

"Wait, where's Zabo-man?" Sawada asked.

Just then, a new screen popped up. Two more unlockable characters available.

Sakaki's eyes lit up. "Wait, so we need to beat the game one more time to get ZABO-man! Let's go again guys!"

The boys then grin and started new playthrough

Sakaki then said, "Hmm, I want to use CODY. He's my favorite after all Final Fight Rocks , and the guy punched through the wall!"

Sawada nodded. "Go on, use him, I don't mind at all. I want to use PO. He's weird, round, and totally badass. Feels like he could tank a nuke and still offer you a dumpling."

Kumogi grinned. "Casey Jones is mine. That hockey mask? Not normal. That stick? Not regulation. I'm telling you, it's gotta be high-tech gear."

Rikki pointed at the screen. "Kim is MINE. I'm calling her my pixelated soulmate."

New team loadout: Sakaki = Cody

Sawada = Po

Kumogi = Casey Jones

Rikki = Kim Possible

Each character had a unique style:

Cody was raw power—fast combos, brutal grapples, a stun punch that cleared space.

Po was a tank-support hybrid, his skills "Dragon Aura" buffed defense, and his belly slam knocked enemies off their feet.

Casey Jones used tech bombs and electrified hockey sticks for control and area damage.

Kim Possible was quick and versatile, using martial arts and high-tech gadgets. Her laser bracelets fired rapid shots, and she could inject teammates with syringes for heels or buffs.

They powered through the game again. Skills synergized. Tactics evolved. Trash talk resumed.

After another win and 8 medals earned, they returned to the shop.

Time to unlock the final two: which cost 4 each.

Zabo-man and—Kamen Rider Black.

The room went silent.

"Wait, isn't that the new Kamen Rider show coming out?" Sakaki said and Sawada nodded, "Yeah, I saw on the Tv ads it gonna be the newest Kamen rider?"

They unlocked both.

Kamen Rider Black was fast, stylish, and all melee. His special let him summon his motorcycle for a high-speed attack.

Zabo-man resembled his Final Fight secret boss form—martial arts-focused with his iconic Ryusei Ken: a shining projectile punch that crossed half the screen.

By the time they finished experimenting with all the characters, nearly five hours had passed.

"Damn, I'm beat," Kumogi said, slumped back.

"But worth it," Sawada added. "Totally worth it."

"Ten characters. Freakin' Kamen Rider Black. Kamen riders have been so boring recently but If Zaboru is behind this, I'm watching that show for sure," Sakaki said.

Rikki was still fixated on Kim Possible's idle animation.

"Agent girls are just… perfection."

They all burst out laughing.

Stretching their arms and cracking their backs, they paid Toki, who gave them a thumbs-up.

"Midnight regulars now, huh?" he chuckled. "Appreciate the business, boys."

With tired grins and high spirits, the Bakudan Boys left the arcade under the Tokyo night sky.
