Chapter 13 - Basic Kido Techniques

Returning to his room, Yamabuki pulled out his zanpakutō and gently wiped it. The abilities of his zanpakutō had begun to reveal themselves in the previous battle. But what exactly is the ability of one's own Zanpakuto? My sword spirit instantly cut the enemy into dozens of pieces. Initially, people speculated that my Shikai ability had a connection to speed.

This isn't always the case; it's possible that my ability is more closely related to "chuunibyou." The higher the level of "chuunibyou" and the lower the level of shame, the stronger my zanpakutou's attack power becomes! If that's really the case... it seems pretty great too! Which young person doesn't have a chuunibyou dream in their heart?

"I am the Dark Lord, and you are all my subordinates. Present your necks and die! Hahaha!"

As expected, the level of embarrassment is off the charts! Or is it that his previous guess was correct? His zanpakuto's true ability is to summon a bunch of cute girls to cut down the enemy. For most male Shinigami, this is a guaranteed kill! Of course, if you're determined to strike first, make sure to eliminate me first! Feel free to attack me as much as you want! Don't hold back!

At this moment, the zanpakutō flickered with a faint, elusive spiritual light, as if it were about to explode!

'Why do I have such an unreliable owner? Why not just run away from home?' The sword spirit thought so.

"Um... Brother Yamabuki, can I stay with you for a while?" Chōjirō whispered.

"Welcome, welcome!" Yamabuki was very pleased to have a gopher—no, a new roommate.

Now, Chōjiro's appearance is roughly that of a twelve- or thirteen-year-old boy, with thin clothes and no shoes. Taking him out in such a state would be too embarrassing. People rely on their clothes, and horses rely on their saddles. This kid needs a proper set of clothes, and then we can proceed with education, of course, not forced labor.

"Chōjirō, do you know what is most important if you want to stay in the Gotei 13?" Yamabuki asked.

Chōjirō shook his head. In fact, his thoughts were very simple: as long as he had a place to eat and didn't have to live the wandering life anymore, that would be enough. Although he was still young, he had to take care of his younger sister, so his domestic skills were top-notch. He could do laundry, cook, and clean without any problem.

"No, no, no!" These things don't matter; the servants of the Shihōin family will do them for us. If you want to stay in the Gotei 13, the most important thing is to be able to fight! Starting tomorrow, I'll have the old man teach you swordsmanship; after all, Yamamoto has nothing to do anyway." Yamabuki directly pushed the most troublesome task onto the old man Yamamoto.

Just kidding! How could I possibly take on an apprentice? Moreover…

From the previous battle, he has deeply realized his shortcomings; a true strongman must be a hexagonal warrior. He possesses the strength of a tank, the ability to defeat a berserker, a burst stronger than a mage, and the output of a marksman.

Advance, and you can single-handedly take on five; retreat, and you can sit back and wait for twenty to come at you.

Pfft, I just blurted it out!

In the context of the Bleach universe, a hexagonal warrior must possess Yamamoto's output, Unohana's healing, Shunsui's speed, Aizen's Reiatsu, Urahara's kido, and cunningness!

This is the true shinigami!

As for whether the goal can be achieved? How would I know? I've never tried it!

That damn system went to get milk again and just left me with a title.

Although Chōjirō couldn't understand what this big brother was saying, he still felt it was really impressive, even if he didn't know why!

And so, the next morning, Yamabuki dragged the groggy Chōjirō to the old man Yamamoto for special training.

Yamamoto is very satisfied with his vice-captain, whose growth rate is extremely fast. Just a casual stroll around has doubled his Reiatsu. Although he still can't compare to Saito's immortality and Shihōin Chika, Yamamoto believes that with a bit more time to grow, Yamabuki will definitely become his powerful assistant.

As for the guy next to me, sitting there dozing off with snot bubbling out of his nose...

Yamabuki saw that Yamamoto's expression was unfriendly and delivered a karate chop to Chōjirō's head.

"Owww!!"

"Pay attention!" Yamabuki shouted.

Chōjiro was so scared that he quickly sat up straight.

Yamamoto shook his head slightly. "Children are unteachable!"

"Yamabuki, what do you want to learn? I can teach you anything." Yamamoto said.

"Captain, after this battle with the Hollows, I have deeply realized my own shortcomings in strength. I want to learn more about Kido to make up for my weaknesses," Yamabuki said.

"Mm!" Yamamoto nodded, knowing that finding one's shortcomings in battle and learning from them was truly the mark of a talent he valued.

"Alright! Then let's start learning from the basics; follow me." Yamamoto glanced at Chōjirō, who appeared completely bewildered, like a piece of rotten wood incapable of carving.

The three people arrived at the Shihōin family's training ground.

Just in time, Chika Shihōin is also here. After explaining the purpose of their visit, Chika Shihōin said with a grin, "Want to practice Kido? Don't worry about messing around; I've set up a barrier here; it's not that easy to break."

"Since you say so, I can rest assured," Yamamoto said as he turned to Yamabuki. "Yamabuki, I'll teach you a relatively basic way to break through. Pay close attention."

Yamabuki is fully focused.

Yamamoto extended his palm and pointed at a distant target: " Hadou 88. Hiryugekizokushintenraiho (Flying Dragon-Striking Heaven-Shaking Thunder Cannon)."

A two-meter-diameter golden-blue beam shot out from Yamamoto's hand, and the violent Reiatsu made the others present too afraid to look up. Chōjirō gasped in shock, and Chika Shihōin hurriedly stood in front of him, helping to block some of Yamamoto's Reiatsu.

The beam of light exploded in the distance, creating an extremely violent shockwave that took several minutes to calm down.

"Well! Yamabuki, have you learned this relatively basic Kido?" Yamamoto asked.

Old man, do you have some misunderstanding about the basics? You call the broken path of 88 the foundation? Please don't measure me by the standards you have in your mind! What's with your hopeful look? You don't expect me to learn this difficult technique just by watching it once, do you?

But I... I... I think I really learned it!

Yamabuki swallowed hard. He knew he was the Chosen One, with extraordinary talent, but he never expected that with just one glance at the Hadou #88, he would completely understand the flow of Reiatsu and the composition of the Kido! "Give it a try! he said.

Yamabuki imitated Yamamoto, raised his hand, and concentrated his Reiatsu: "Hadou #88. Hiryugekizokushintenraiho (Flying Dragon-Striking Heaven-Shaking Thunder Cannon)."

A golden-blue beam erupted from his hand. Of course, its power and might were far inferior to Yamamoto's, possibly not even reaching one-fifth of the old man's strength, but he had indeed learned this Kido!
