Without wasting any more time, she had one of the wooden planks also catch fire and stood her ground near the door waiting for it to be opened.
The door opened with a bang, followed by a loud scream of a woman, probably belonging to Verbena. "How did this place catch fire?!" She asked the two men.
One of them entered the room and saw that the chair had burned down completely and couldn't find Eleanore anywhere. Scared, he turned to Verbena, "The Chair has been burned down completely." he says, sending chills down her spine.
"Did she die?" Although scared, she somewhat felt a bit happy deep down.
Before he could try and answer that question, a wooden plank lit by fire, came from behind and banged into his head. The force was so hard that the plank broke into two pieces. One remained in her and while the other flew away somewhere far.
