This pack clinic was different from the one she had been in before.
It was not the small room in the pack house Elisa had visited previously; this was located behind the main house, off to the side of the pack hall.
It was larger—more like a local medical center than a simple infirmary. The first room was a vast hall filled with hospital cots and medical equipment. To the right were two labeled doors: Storage and Midwifery & Nursery. To the left, one door stood slightly ajar. Consultation Room.
Mira led her there. As they passed, two women in nurse uniforms nodded greetings.
That was where Mira led Elisa towards. They greeted two ladies wearing nurse uniforms as they passed.
The consultation room was not what Elisa was expecting. It was spacious and oddly comforting, with three hospital cots near the far wall, two comfortable-looking large couches, and four straight-back chairs standing in front of a large desk with a giant office chair behind it.
