Chapter 451 - Chapter 451: Our Marriage

In a restaurant outside the headquarters of the Sea God Legion on the East Sea.

"Elder Long, do you think the Vast Sea Douluo, Lord Chen Xinjie, will come?" Inside a café, Tang Wulin looked at Long Yeyue curiously and asked.

"I came to see him personally. That already gives him enough face—how dare he not come?" Long Yeyue snorted coldly, glanced at Tang Wulin, and said, "Wulin, I've told you so many times, don't call me Elder Long. Call me Sister Yue, Yeyue, or even Yueyue. Why can't you get that through your head?"

"Lo—Sister Yue, I'm just not used to it," Tang Wulin replied awkwardly, forcing the words out. He sneaked a glance at Long Yeyue. With the help of the Plane's Ruler, Tang Hao, Long Yeyue had broken through to quasi-god level. Now she looked about fifty or sixty, with white hair, but radiant and energetic.

"Even if you're not used to it, get used to it. I'm carrying your child now. You're going to be the father of my child. If you keep calling me Elder Long, how does that sound?" Long Yeyue looked displeased.

"I..." Tang Wulin was at a loss for words. He just couldn't understand it. It was just a fleeting moment—how could the child in Long Yeyue's womb possibly be his?

There were so many people involved for much longer—how come none of them were the father?

If it weren't for Old Tang in his spiritual sea confirming that the child indeed carried his bloodline, he wouldn't have believed it even if he were beaten to death.

"What do you mean, 'I'! Don't tell me you're not going to acknowledge it." Long Yeyue snorted again and said, "What? You think I'm too old for you? Look at Xia Yi—his twin Phoenix Douluo sisters, their combined ages aren't much less than mine either. And yet he's still happily accepted it. Unlike you, hemming and hawing like this."

"I acknowledge it, Sister Yue. Don't say things like that. I believe you're doing this all for the sake of Shrek Academy. I accept it." Tang Wulin looked at Long Yeyue with grievance in his eyes.

Damn it!

Is that the same?

Going by Long Yeyue's logic, does that mean two 100-pound beauties equal one 200-pound woman?

Calling her "Sister Yue" was already the limit for him.

If he really had to call Long Yeyue "Yueyue" or "Yeyue," he'd probably die from embarrassment.

"As long as you think that way, that's good." Long Yeyue coldly snorted again.

Tang Wulin felt wronged—wasn't he the one being taken advantage of?

What did she mean by "for the sake of Shrek Academy"?

Wasn't he a quasi-god-level Limit Douluo? Was he not good enough for a mere Soul King?

Even if she had fought off a crowd of men in the past, he wasn't any better, was he?

After Cao Dezhi stepped in, even the handsome Tang Wulin couldn't escape unscathed.

Long Yeyue glanced at Tang Wulin. What happened was something no one wanted, so neither had the right to look down on the other.

Besides, it was his fault for being too quick. If he hadn't finished so fast and left her with no feeling, she wouldn't have needed to fight off that group of people on her own.

Long Yeyue was also filled with frustration, but she had nowhere to vent. If it weren't for Tang Wulin's identity as the Son of the Sea God, she would've torn into him long ago.

The fastest man in the world—and he still dares to look down on others?

"Damn Yali. Damn Leng Yulai." Thinking about her current situation, Long Yeyue's mind jumped to Yali again.

If Yali hadn't been rescued by Leng Yulai, how could she have ended up in such a miserable situation?

It was all Yali and Leng Yulai's fault!

Hmph!

Ding...

Tang Wulin opened his mouth, but before he could speak, his soul communicator suddenly rang.

He took it out and glanced at it, his eyes flashing with surprise before he quickly picked up, "Teacher Mang Tian, it's me! Are you alright?"

That's right—it was Mang Tian who had called.

Mang Tian, Tang Wulin's first forging mentor, a six-star master craftsman. All these years, he had remained a six-star, never breaking into the Saint Craftsman level.

Tang Wulin had kept in touch with him all along, often calling to check in and to ask if there was any news of his parents. Every time, the answer was the same: no news.

Recently, with everything going on, Tang Wulin had been too busy to call often.

"Wulin, I'm fine. I just wanted to check on you. You haven't called in a while. Especially after the disaster at Shrek Academy, I've been really worried. I called you several times, but the signal was always dead. You scared me half to death," Mang Tian's familiar yet distant voice came through the communicator.

"I'm sorry, Teacher Mang Tian. After the incident at Shrek Academy, I've been hiding and training in a place without signal along with the surviving teachers," Tang Wulin explained.

"As long as you're okay. If anything had happened to you, I really wouldn't have known how to face your parents." Mang Tian's voice carried a hint of relief.

"Dad... Mom!" Hearing the mention of Tang Ziran and Lang Yue, Tang Wulin could no longer control his emotions. His voice choked slightly. "Teacher Mang Tian, do you have news of my parents?"

Mang Tian sighed, his voice tinged with guilt. "I'm sorry, Wulin. I've been lying to you all this time, but it was at your father's strong request. I had no choice. Actually, he's been in contact with me."

"What?" Tang Wulin's voice shot up in pitch, trembling. It had been years, and this was the first time he'd heard anything about his father.

"Teacher Mang Tian, I don't blame you. Just tell me quickly—where are they? Where are they now?" His hands holding the communicator were trembling uncontrollably.

Mang Tian said, "Calm down first. You need to stay level-headed. It's exactly because your father feared you'd act rashly that he made me promise not to tell you. What I can tell you is, they're safe. Both of them. They're alive and well, not in any danger."

Tang Wulin let out a small breath of relief. "Are they being held somewhere?" After calming down a bit, his mind quickly resumed its sharpness.

"Yes, that's right. Their freedom was restricted. That's why every time your father contacted me, it wasn't safe. But even so, he still took the risk to reach out every once in a while. Just to know how you were doing. In fact, every time I called you, it was right after he had called me. I'd always relay your situation to him."

"He was really happy when he learned you got into Shrek Academy—truly happy. So he insisted on secrecy, fearing that his situation might affect your progress. He wanted you to thrive at Shrek. Don't blame him—he meant well."

"Child, I know you've suffered all these years, but don't you think your parents have suffered just as much? Just like you miss them, they've missed you terribly too." At this point, Mang Tian's voice was clearly emotional.

Tang Wulin asked, "Then where are they now? Where exactly?"

Mang Tian replied solemnly, "They've been working at a research facility under the Spirit Pagoda on Douling Continent."

"Have been? What does that mean?" Tang Wulin asked sharply.

"Their work is done. They've taken a plane back to Douluo Continent. Wulin, stay where you are for now. If you can, go home as soon as possible. I think they'll be overjoyed to see you when they arrive."

"They've returned to Douluo Continent? When did this happen? Teacher Mang Tian, I'm in Tianhai City—not far from home. Wait for me, I'll head back now!" Tang Wulin jumped up, ready to leave immediately.

"You're in Tianhai City?" Mang Tian was surprised. "Perfect! Your parents are landing at Tianhai Airport. The plane's arriving in ten minutes. You might just make it in time to meet them. I'll send you your father's current soul communicator number—250438213××."

"Got it, Teacher Mang Tian! I'll contact you again after I meet them." With just ten minutes left, Tang Wulin had no time for pleasantries. He hurriedly hung up and rushed out to the airport.

"We'll go together. It's the perfect time to discuss our marriage with your parents," Long Yeyue said suddenly, like a bucket of cold water dumped over Tang Wulin.

Even though the call had been through soul communicator, how could it escape the perception of a quasi-god-level Limit Douluo?

Marriage. With Long Yeyue.

She wanted to go with him... to talk with Tang Ziran and Lang Yue about their wedding!

Tang Wulin was instantly thrown into disarray.
