Edward's Point Of View
The study was dimly lit, the only source of light coming from the antique brass lamp on my desk. The golden glow cast long shadows on the mahogany walls, and the air was thick with the scent of aged whiskey and leather-bound books.
I leaned back in my chair, my fingers tapping against the armrest as my mind swirled with thoughts. Morana.
Something about her was different.
I wasn't an emotional man, nor was I easily shaken, but the way my daughter had changed overnight, it was unsettling. The fire in her eyes, the unshakable confidence, the way she carried herself like she was a step ahead of everyone… Where the hell did it come from?
Morana had always been strong-willed, but this? This was something else.
I exhaled, rubbing my temples as frustration gnawed at me. What happened? Did something trigger this transformation, or had she simply been waiting for the right moment to show her true colors?
