Thalina smirked, now fully enjoying herself. "Oh? But it's true. If I stop using makeup, they'll all be after me."
Tharion let out a slow, dangerous hum, rolling onto his side so he hovered over her slightly.
"They can try," he murmured, his tone low, possessive. "But they'll never get past me."
His fingers traced the curve of her cheek, his touch so soft it sent a shiver down her spine.
"I don't need you to hide, Thalina," he said quietly. "I need them to know you belong to me."
Thalina's heart skipped a beat.
"…Possessive much?" she mumbled.
Tharion chuckled, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "Always."
She wanted to argue—wanted to push him off, tease him—but when he looked at her like that…
It was hard to fight it.
So instead, she sighed dramatically. "Fine, fine. I won't change it."
Tharion smirked, satisfied. "Good."
And before she could react, he pulled her closer, stealing another kiss under the evening sky.
