Chapter 488 - Arrival in Miami

"I think I've fallen in love with you a little... What should I do?" Selena Gomez whispered, burying her head in Jiang Hai's neck. Hearing her words, Jiang Hai's hands, which had been gently stroking her back, paused for a moment.

"What? Are you scared?" Selena Gomez lifted her head to look at him.

"How could I be scared? I just don't know if you're serious. If you are, then you should consider quitting the entertainment industry." Jiang Hai chuckled, his hands resuming their movement.

"That's more like it! Don't worry, I'm... a little in love with you, but it's just that I like you, okay? Understand?" Selena Gomez smiled at his response, satisfied.

Jiang Hai couldn't help but smirk. Was he really a little duck? Did they need to explain things so explicitly?

This was the seventh day since Jiang Hai left Winthrop, and also the last day of their trip.

The journey from Winthrop had been smooth, except for the occasional strong winds and waves. During the day, Jiang Hai and his friends enjoyed the sea, while at night, they stopped at nearby towns to rest.

Along the way, they had experienced the local culture of the East Coast of the United States. On the first day, they visited Ocean City, Delaware. The second day was spent in Virginia Beach, the most famous beach in Virginia. The third day took them to Cedar Island in North Carolina. On the fourth day, they went to Charleston, South Carolina, and on the fifth, they visited Savannah, Georgia. On the sixth day, they reached Florida but didn't stop in the largest city, Jacksonville. Finally, on the seventh day, they arrived in Miami—but instead of heading to the city to rest, they decided to stay on the boat. During these days, Jiang Hai and Selena Gomez's relationship had been heating up rapidly.

They had already passed the first and second bases, and were now at third base, a direct home run.

At first, the sea was still fun, but after a while, there was nothing exciting left. So, they started to indulge in each other, day and night, in the captain's room, their cabin, the bathroom, and even on the floor. There were traces of them everywhere: the kitchen, the deck, the platform, even on the small boat.

Many times, Jiang Hai could feel Darlene and Marian giving them strange looks. Bell Lester would leave the boat to explore the nearby town after every stop, coming back the next day with some powder. Everyone knew the reason, but both Selena Gomez and Jiang Hai enjoyed it.

The only ones who didn't seem to get involved were Azarina and Harriman Fells. Harriman was simply bewildered by these things, and as for Azarina, whether she had taken care of things herself, Jiang Hai had no idea, but nothing seemed unusual with her.

Over the course of their intimate moments, they became closer, learning more about each other—not just about their bodies, but their lives as well. Selena Gomez found out that Jiang Hai had been married and learned about his current situation, including his family and the matter of the Dragon Ball, which he never told anyone. In turn, Jiang Hai also got to know more about her. Born in 1992, Selena had risen to fame early. At 15, she became well-known in the U.S. through a Disney movie, followed by three more original Disney films. However, her real passion was in music. In 2009, she shifted to music, where she found success. She also shared her love life with Jiang Hai.

Her first boyfriend was Taylor Lautner, the werewolf from Twilight. But that relationship was just for show, lasting only a few days. Her real first love was Justin Bieber, but his immature behavior and decadent lifestyle made Selena break up with him repeatedly. Finally, they separated for good the year before last. Even after the breakup, Justin talked incessantly about their past relationship, driving Selena crazy. But then she met Jiang Hai, and he helped her completely move on from Justin. According to her, the man who had truly imprinted on her heart was now Jiang Hai.

"But, are you really not going to stay with me?" Jiang Hai asked, hesitating slightly, moving his hand from her back to her head.

"Maybe... But now I'm in the rising period of my career, you know?" Selena Gomez buried her head deeper, speaking seriously. Jiang Hai gently lifted her face and kissed her affectionately. They kissed for about three minutes before Selena Gomez, gasping for breath, pulled away.

"Are you going to suffocate me?" she teased.

"Still smiling? It seems like you've recovered. Then let's continue!" Selena Gomez gave him a playful glance, her hand slowly sliding down as her head followed. Jiang Hai, realizing what was about to happen, sat up, preparing for the next round.

"Don't you worry about not being able to get up tomorrow?" Jiang Hai patted her butt playfully.

"Compared to your mouth, I prefer kissing you here. Do you know why?" Selena Gomez raised her head, glancing at him mischievously.

"Uh... Not sure," Jiang Hai was momentarily confused.

"Because it doesn't talk nonsense," she smirked, knowing she had him right where she wanted him.

Outside, the constant sound of airplanes taking off and landing echoed from Miami airport.

Jiang Hai and his friends were standing there, ready for their next step. After seven days of fun, Selena Gomez was heading back to New York, and Jiang Hai had other business to attend to.

"Goodbye, I'll visit you in Winthrop when I have time," Selena Gomez said seriously, giving Jiang Hai a final hug outside the airport. In these seven days, they had gone from strangers to the most familiar people in the world. For Selena Gomez, Jiang Hai was definitely the one who knew her best.

However, they had to part ways. Selena Gomez was reluctant, but she understood. She knew that, as a star, she couldn't balance her career with a relationship right now. Furthermore, her past with Justin made her realize that Jiang Hai wasn't a part of her future. She should break up with him, but emotions aren't so easily severed.

"You must come to me. I'll remember what you said," Jiang Hai smiled as they exchanged one last look.

They shared a final hug, their moment of intimacy brief but meaningful. As she went through security, Jiang Hai turned and walked back to the parking lot. There, Darlene, Marian, Azarina, and Bell Lester were waiting in a car.

Harriman Fells had stayed behind to look after the boat, as always. He followed Jiang Hai's orders without question.

Seeing Jiang Hai return alone, the group relaxed visibly.

"Looks like I don't have to go out every night," Bell Lester joked.

"You don't have to go!" Darlene and Marian blushed at his words, while Azarina gave him a teasing smile.

"Ah?" Bell Lester was caught off guard by Azarina's remark. Could it be that she was interested in him? He briefly glanced at himself in the rearview mirror, unsure of what to think.

"You can go and have a gay relationship with Harriman," Azarina said, deflating Bell Lester's ego.

It seemed he had misread the situation, and he felt a strange sense that Azarina might be more interested in Jiang Hai.

"Alright, let's head back," Jiang Hai said as he opened the co-pilot door and climbed into the front seat of the car.

"Boss, now that we've seen Selena Gomez off, where are we heading next?" Bell Lester asked, starting the engine.

"Go tuna fishing," Jiang Hai replied with confidence.

"Tuna fishing?" Bell Lester was puzzled, unable to hide his disbelief. They were heading out to sea, but this didn't seem like a fishing trip.
