"Fuck!" As Jiang Hai advanced instead of retreating, the two attackers panicked, but their years of fighting experience kicked in. One threw a punch at Jiang Hai's temple, while the other aimed a kick at his left arm. Observing their moves, Jiang Hai didn't waste words. He blocked the punch to his temple with his right hand, while simultaneously catching the leg of the other man with his left arm.
With a swift motion, Jiang Hai shook off the punch, and using a move from the Great Sage Pi Gua, he struck the man's knee with his right fist. There was a loud crack as the knee bent awkwardly outward.
"Ah!" The excruciating pain shot through the man's brain, causing his body to collapse in a heap. He grabbed his leg, howling in agony. Jiang Hai released him, turned around, and dodged the leg kick from the second attacker. Shrinking his body, he slipped into the man's arms, then elbowed his chin. Jiang Hai wasn't aiming for a quick kill but he certainly didn't hold back.
The man spun in the air, completing a full 360-degree turn before crashing to the ground with a resounding thud. His lower jaw was shattered, and several teeth were knocked out. The impact had also rattled his brain, leaving him unconscious and unable to get back up.
As Jiang Hai assessed the situation, he turned his gaze toward the remaining two assailants. The fight had unfolded in the blink of an eye. Within seconds, the three attackers had been neutralized.
The two remaining men, seeing Jiang Hai's gaze fixed on them, quickened their pace, but they were no match for his speed. He immediately rushed toward them.
"Go!" The man who had been guarding the bag shouted, rushing in the opposite direction. This man, a towering figure at over two meters tall, was a striking sight. His bulging muscles and puffed cheeks made it clear he was the group's primary fighter. Jiang Hai didn't hesitate. He might not be as big as the man, but size alone wouldn't be enough to take him down.
With one powerful step, Jiang Hai kicked the man square in the chest. The force sent him stumbling back, but he didn't fall. Seizing the opportunity, Jiang Hai quickly closed the distance between them.
Standing nearly as tall as the man at 1.9 meters, Jiang Hai surged forward. He stomped on the man's right foot, leaped into the air, and grabbed his head with both hands. With a swift motion, Jiang Hai drove his left knee into the man's face. Blood sprayed instantly, but Jiang Hai wasn't done. Mid-air, he contracted his body, using his strength to pause for a moment, long enough to twist his legs and deliver another crushing knee strike.
The man's face was a bloody mess now. As Jiang Hai descended, he raised both elbows and brought them down hard on the man's head, with a sickening crack. The man collapsed, unconscious and bleeding from the head.
With the four assailants now incapacitated, Jiang Hai turned to face the remaining individual. The man, realizing the situation was dire, understood there was no escaping. But his professional integrity was strong, and he didn't beg for mercy. Instead, he unzipped the bag he had been carrying and threw it toward Jiang Hai's cowshed.
"Damn, you dare!" Jiang Hai cursed, but the man's actions were swift. By the time Jiang Hai ran toward him, the bag had already flown into the cowshed. Jiang Hai was a step behind, but he wasted no time. Without warning, he grabbed the man's hair and began pummeling his face and stomach with relentless punches. The sound of each blow echoed through the dark night.
The commotion caught the attention of nearby security and other individuals at nearby cowsheds. Most ignored the situation, but the security personnel responded immediately, rushing to stop Jiang Hai.
"Sir, please calm down, or we will resort to force!" the lead security officer shouted. But despite their efforts to pull Jiang Hai away, they were easily overpowered, falling to the ground with each attempt. As the officers struggled, one called the police.
"Where were you when these people were causing trouble? Do you even know who they are? They're here to harm not just me, but my cows too! What kind of security is this?" Jiang Hai growled, throwing the lead officer aside. He then retrieved his phone, which had been recording the entire encounter, and turned off the recording feature, his expression darkening.
The security officer, clearly taken aback by Jiang Hai's words, glanced at the men on the ground who were still moaning in pain. These weren't members of his security team, and he didn't recognize them.
"Why are you still standing there?" Jiang Hai continued. "I saw these guys throwing something into my cowshed. If anything happens to my cows, I will sue you until your company goes bankrupt."
The captain, realizing the severity of the situation, turned to his team. He quickly instructed half of them to monitor Jiang Hai while the others ran toward the cowshed.
"It's too late," one of the attackers, still clutching his chest, muttered bitterly. Though they hadn't anticipated such a swift and brutal retaliation from Jiang Hai, their mission was clear. They believed their compensation would outweigh the consequences of this failed attack.
Inside the cowshed, the security team quickly discovered the soybeans scattered on the floor. As they inspected them, fear flashed across their faces. They immediately returned to the captain, whispering urgently.
When the captain saw the soybeans, a look of shock crossed his face. Without hesitation, he rushed into the cowshed, followed by Jiang Hai and the security officers. What they found was enough to chill anyone's blood. The soybeans had been laced with poison—something the captain could immediately sense.
As panic set in, Jiang Hai observed his cows. To his relief, all fifteen were lying peacefully on the ground, untouched by the soybeans. Although some were curious, none of them had eaten the tainted food. Jiang Hai's cows were accustomed to the natural scents of his property, and the soybeans lacked the familiar odor they preferred.
The scene, surreal and tense, played out in silence for several minutes. Then, the sound of a distant siren filled the air, signaling the arrival of law enforcement. The security captain, now alarmed, waved his hand, signaling his team to move.
With the cowshed cleared, the team ensured the area was cleaned and another shed prepared. Meanwhile, the attackers were taken into police custody, though Jiang Hai remained unperturbed. He knew the damage had been done, but as Moses Adams informed him, the video footage was on his side. Despite their failed plot, the attackers likely wouldn't face harsh sentences, as their primary goal had been to poison the cows, not harm Jiang Hai directly. Still, their actions remained a crime.
And as for Jiang Hai's cows, they were safe—at least for now.
