She could name a few things she had expected Enzo to do right after he had chuckled—perhaps tell her a crazy escape plan, or run to her side and use brute force—but this was beyond anything she had imagined.
Her eyes darted to the phone Vincent held, realization dawning in her mind. A long, drawn-out "Ohhhh," escaped her lips. "So that's why he told me to make them talk."
With a flex of his muscles, the ropes binding Enzo wrists strained, and with a quick pull, he snapped them apart as if they were nothing more than weak strings. He rose to his feet, stretching his shoulders before rubbing his sore wrists, a smug smile curling at the edges of his lips.
