"Oh, so you are the Pig girl staying in Jace's room?!" A snarky voice resounded from behind the group of friends, startling Alex who was about to tell them about her family's farm.

"What do you want, Jacky? You get lost on your way to Hoho land or something?" Riley retorted with a displeased expression as she glanced at the group of girls standing behind Alex's couch.

"What still jealous I made out with Ben?" Jacky retorted with a light teasing smile as she flicked a lock of her blonde hair. She looked like one of the girls hanging in the posters at a beauty salon, only she made it look natural.

From her blemish-free white skin to her long legs that look like they belong on a runway or in some feet commercials. Jacky is the definition of the It girl and that has been her aspiration in life ever since she realised how much power her looks held. Her dream had pivoted to becoming famous just in case the acting thing didn't work out.

Riley scoffed, crossing her arms as she leaned back against the couch. "Please, Jacky, if I wanted Ben, I would've had him before you ever fluttered those fake lashes in his direction."

Jacky smirked, unbothered, as she shifted her weight onto one hip. "Right, because being the second choice is such a flex." She let out a soft laugh before her eyes flicked over to Alex, who had been silently observing the exchange, unsure of what exactly she had walked into. "Anyway, what were you saying, Pig Girl? Something about cows?"

Alex's brows furrowed as she straightened in her seat. "I don't know who raised you, but where I'm from, we don't call people names unless we're asking to get kicked in the teeth."

Sasha choked on her iced coffee, while Mia widened her eyes, quickly pressing her lips together to suppress a laugh. Riley, on the other hand, grinned like she had just found a new favourite person.

Jacky blinked, clearly not used to people snapping back at her. Then, she let out an amused chuckle. "Oh, I like you. You've got some fight in you. Must be all that time spent chasing after cows and wrestling little piggies." Her words caused her two friends to chuckle in delight as they sent disdainful glances at Alex almost as if she could get mud on them at any second.

Alex clenched her jaw, forcing herself to take a deep breath. She wasn't going to let some bleach-blonde Barbie with a superiority complex get under her skin. "I wrestled plenty of things growing up, but my daddy taught me that it's best to put a rabid dog down before it starts acting crazy."

"OK Amy Fleming, hold your horses, I don't really care whether you wrestle with cows or your uncle like y'all people from Bama like to do but just keep your piggy-grubbing hands away from Jace and stay in your lane. Thank you," Jacky succinctly announced, keeping a friendly expression throughout like a weather girl trying not to look bored while she does her job.

Before Alex could even muster up a reply, the leggy blond turned on her axis and started walking away as if that didn't just happen. What baffled her even more was the glares from her lackeys acting like they had actually done something other than consume oxygen. "Well, that just happened. Is it just me or was that whole interaction weird?" Alex asked her group of friends with a confused expression, asking them whether wisdom was escaping her, or it simply jumped off a cliff.

"Well, that is Jacky, an aspiring actress, part-time cheerleader, forgets she is the RA and most importantly, Harley quin level crazy," Riley said from the side as she took another sip from her milkshake. "Honestly just avoid her if you can because she is what they mean when they say women are like a hurricane. Carnage and heartbreak are what follow's her."

Listening to her friend's advice, a pitying expression appeared on her face as she remembered Jacky saying something about stealing Riley's boyfriend. "I'm sorry that happened to you, Ry," She subconsciously said, not really knowing what she should say.

"Wipe that look off your face, Ben wasn't my boyfriend, just a boy who I was interested in," The pettiet girl exclaimed with a huff as she threw one of the couch pillows at her friend. "Boy, received one kiss on the cheeks and he was ready to dedicate his life to her,"

"Oh, don't lie, you cried for a full week after that breakup. Or whatever that was," Sasha commented with a teasing smile, earning a quick glare from Riley.

Alex raised a brow, intrigued by the new information. "A whole week? That sounds like more than just casual interest."

Riley rolled her eyes, crossing her arms. "Okay, maybe I was a little upset, but not over him. It was the principle of it all! You don't just steal a girl's potential man out of pure curiosity! She full-on tongued him and then said it was meh before walking away like it didn't matter, it was completely unnecessary."

Mia let out a chuckle, shaking her head. "Jacky doesn't operate by normal people rules. If she thinks it'll stir up drama and put her at the centre of attention, she'll do it."

Sasha nodded in agreement, stirring her drink lazily. "The girl has a talent for making enemies. If it weren't for her being drop-dead gorgeous, I doubt anyone would put up with her. Matter of fact, the boys love her more for the drama, especially since she is still a virgin,"

"Wait really? I would have thought a girl that operates like her would be getting it on and have a football team roster of boys?" Alex questioned, now sitting straight, as this piece of information caught her completely off guard.

"That's why I say she is crazy because she is like that one church girl in high school who turned into a tease. She somehow managed to not sleep with anyone as the girl is known to lose interest in people at the flip of a hat," Mia said in a matter-of-fact tone as she continued scrolling through her phone.

"You're basically fucked because she seems to have taken an interest in your roommate and your collateral damage.

"(Bleep) me, and here I thought kicking out his late-night adventures would be the weirdest thing I have to deal with," Alex commented with a tired sigh, feeling more mentally drained than what she had felt during training.

"Wait what?" Mia exclaimed with a stunned expression almost dropping her phone completely, breaking her composed demeanour.

"Hold up, say that again?" Sasha exclaimed almost choking on her milkshake as she sat up, staring at Alex as if she had kept the secret of where the one piece was located.

"Who was that, Vixen?" Riley directly exclaimed in a haughty tone as she sprung up and pointed her index finger in the air like some type of judge.

Alex blinked, suddenly feeling like she was under interrogation. The girls were staring at her, eyes wide with curiosity, anticipation, and maybe even a hint of mischief. She hesitated, considering her words carefully.

"I—uh—I don't know her name," Alex admitted, scratching her temple. "Some brunette girls, taller than Riley, definitely an athlete. She was passed out on his bed when I got into the room. And he just left me to deal with her as he sneaked off to practice."

"Brunette, tall, athlete, and hanging with Jace last night…" Mia trailed off, running through the mental roster of possible candidates. Then her eyes widened in realisation. "Oh my God. Are you talking about Emily?"

"Emily?" Sasha and Riley said in unison, both their expressions shifting to a mix of amusement and disbelief.

"Wait, hold on, hold on," Riley said, waving a hand as if trying to slow things down. "Are we talking about that Emily? As in Emily Carter, like one of the horse trios?"

"I don't know, you said her name is Emily, but she did have a bracelet with a horse hoof so maybe?" Alex expertly exclaimed, interrupting her friends who started talking about the girl. "That's not even the problem, Jace is just too much, this is the 2nd time he is being unreasonable and I'm starting to get the feeling that's his thing."

"There's only one option left," Sasha exclaimed, causing all their attention to turn towards her. "Your first option is to act like you're madly in love with him and want commitment, black men, especially new adults, will run like they have seen the plague. Only the special ones want that sort of thing, but the odds of finding them are like becoming an actress in the 90s without a sugar daddy,"
