Kira's POV
Ryker paced to and fro; I stood watching him, waiting for him to say something, anything at all that could explain why he left me to be beaten up.
"Okay, here's the thing...." he paused
"I was frustrated by his continued silence, so I turned to leave. As I headed in the direction of my house, I felt a hand pull me back."
I turned to see Chad behind me.
"I couldn't stop her"
"I wasn't blind, Ryker I could see that you couldn't", I shot out angrily. "What I want to know is why didn't you try to stop Her."
"There's no way I could stop Her" He reached for my hands, gripping them firmly. My eyes flashed with frustration as I yanked my hands away, my movement sharp and unyielding "Don't you dare", I snapped, my voice laced with anger.
"I hastened my footsteps as I headed home, not giving Ryker a chance to say anything else until I reached my house."
I opened the door and was about to shut it when Ryker obstructed it by placing his foot in the doorway
