Chapter 120 - Chapter 120: Harmony's Decision & Shawn's Resolve IV

"Shawn," she called.

She slightly paused; this was the first time she was the one calling his name first.

But he was obviously uncomfortable in his sleep, and she could only wake him up.

"Hmmm," he frowned even more, but he did not wake up at all.

"Why not lie down in the bed instead?" she could only shake him.

"Hmmm, five minutes more, it's weekend."

'So you are someone who is difficult to wake up when you know you have no schedule?' she thought with a shake of her head.

It is just half past six, and the storm has somehow subsided that there were barely any lightning or thunder.

"Come on, get up a bit and lie down on the bed instead," she pulled him by the hand.

"Hmmm," he complained.

But she was able to pull him up and led him to her bed.

Of course, she took out a different set of pillowcase and blanket. She has no desire of letting him use what she had already used.

Especially with how much she had lied down for the past few days.

Once she was able to bring half his body up the bed, he crawled in on his own.

She shook her head, 'You're heavy.'

After that, she tried turning on the light in the kitchen and found that the power was back.

She plugged her phone and power banks in case the power would once again disappear.

Then she started cleaning up before preparing some simple dishes with what she got for breakfast.

While doing so, she was also in deep thoughts.

Is she willing to change her plans to a certain extent for these people who just won't cut off ties with her?

She glanced back at the still sleeping Shawn.

To be honest, she was enjoying herself in their company.

That one week vacation, away from all the things she needed to do, gave her so much peace and happiness she never thought she'd ever experience again.

That is why it was worth it, to receive all those "punishments" from them.

But if she indeed takes this step and changes her plans, how will things go on?

'I don't know. Will it be good or not,' she bitterly thought.

A part of her wishes to end this friendship they are offering, but a part of her also wishes to acknowledge it and be open to them.

She looked at the messages she exchanged last night before sending another message.

'I want some friends.'

She chuckled looking at it.

All this time, she was focused on her plan.

Few had tried befriending her, but she outright rejected them, while others she pulled up the wall not letting them get close to her.

But right now, with everything that happened, this was the small wish that sprouted deep in her heart. Since she got to spend time with them in their last year of high school, a different desire has sprouted. That is why she harshly pushed Shawn away.

But now…

'Your plan shouldn't hinder your happiness in the present.'

She looked at the message before a smile appeared on her lips.

A real smile, as if relieved to read such a message.

'I will support you. No matter what.'

She sighed and continued cooking.

At half past seven, Shawn finally woke up.

He stretched and tried to reach out for his phone.

"Hmm? Where did my phone go?"

His eyes were barely open.

"You left it in the dining table," Harmony said.

She was not yet done cooking, as the simple dish she was planning turned different because some of the ingredients in the refrigerator are about to go bad because of the power outage.

"Did I…"

He paused.

"Eh?"

He abruptly sat up when he realized that he was lying down on a soft bed.

He thought he was in his place. But now, he looked around upon realizing where he's lying.

He shot to his feet, "I… How did I…"

"I pulled you there, I gave you permission, so don't think about it," Harmony replied, tasting the dish.

"Go and wash up, and then we can eat."

Shawn looked around before taking his things to the bathroom in a flustered manner.

Harmony raised an eyebrow.

Despite being playful, Shawn was always in control of himself.

This is the first time she was seeing him look like this.

She shrugged before setting up the table.

A few minutes later, Shawn stepped out of the bathroom.

"It seems that the power is back," he started.

He had recovered from his embarrassment.

"It seems it returned earlier today. Come on, let's eat."

"What's with the feast?" he sat opposite her.

"Some ingredients were about to go bad, I can only cook them now," she replied.

Shawn nodded his head.

"Your cooking is seriously something. Everything's just delicious," he commented.

"Your cooking skills aren't lacking in any way," she replied.

The meal she had last night was indeed delicious. Of course, not to compare to those served by restaurants.

"Well, living alone entails learning that. I am glad it was to your taste."

After that, they continued eating in silence.

"Well, it seems that the typhoon is really leaving. I'd go back now."

"Oh, your player," Harmony remembered.

Shawn took it from her and was about to bid her goodbye again.

"I'll see you soon," Harmony suddenly said.

Shawn was stunned but nodded his head nevertheless. It seems that he was able to redeem himself a little bit.

"Yeah, see you soon."

Now he needs to prepare and go back to City S.

Monday evening is the birthday of the current CEO of Ashcroft Nexus, Lenon Ashcroft.
