The door slammed shut behind Daniel as he stepped into his office. His mind was still buzzing, but before he could even take a breath, something sharp hit him in the chest. He looked down.
A Dior lipstick. The damn thing had bounced off him and rolled to the floor with a dull clink.
Victoria. Of course. It had to be her.
"Are you kidding me?" Daniel muttered under his breath, glancing up.
She was wearing a black Celine jacket that clung to her frame. She had the kind of intimidating presence that could silence a room, and now, she was using it to suffocate him.
"That was a limited edition," Victoria said, her voice cold, the kind of cold that made it clear this wasn't about the lipstick.
Daniel swallowed hard. His own frustration bubbled up, but he did his best to keep his composure. He knew where this was headed already
"Really? You're going to start with that?" he asked, his voice tight, "A lipstick?"
