Louis sat back against the organ bench, his fingers tapping lightly against the ivory keys as he let the tension in his body melt away. The soft hum of the instrument filled the room, but his mind was far from the melody. He'd expected their conversation to be a bit more straightforward, or at least to have some kind of clear direction. Instead, the more Jesus spoke, the more it felt like the world was shifting under his feet. It wasn't just wisdom he needed to understand—it was the very essence of why he was chosen, and how he could move forward with that knowledge.
He sighed deeply and rubbed his temples. "You say I have heart. But… how do I even know what that means?" His voice was quiet, almost hesitant. "I'm reckless, confused, and a lot of the time, I feel like I'm just stumbling through this. How can that be enough?"
