Chapter 112 - mission complete

I spent the rest of the day poring over ancient texts and speaking with other dragons who had experience with the ocean. The more I learned, the more I realized that this mission might be more complex than I initially thought.

The ocean was a vast and mysterious place, full of creatures that were both familiar and unknown. The idea of an overpopulation of fish was intriguing, but I had to consider the potential consequences of intervening in the delicate balance of the ocean's ecosystem.

As the sun began to set, I decided to take a walk outside, clearing my mind and gathering my thoughts. The cool evening air was refreshing, and I felt a sense of calm wash over me as I gazed out at the stars.

Thyriatrix, look at me. "Be careful, Aetherius!" I nodded

As I nodded, Thyriatrix's eyes seemed to bore into my soul, as if searching for any sign of uncertainty. I smiled reassuringly, trying to alleviate her concerns. "I'll be fine, my love," I said, my voice low and steady. "I just need to understand what's going on with the fish population."

Thyriatrix nodded, though her expression remained skeptical. "Be careful," she repeated, her voice barely above a whisper.

I leaned in, brushing my snout against hers in a gentle gesture of reassurance. "I will," I promised, before turning to take to the skies, leaving her watching me with a mix of worry and admiration.

The wind rushed past me as I soared over the ocean, the sun's rays glinting off the waves like a thousand tiny diamonds. I scanned the water below, my eyes searching for any sign of the fish population's unusual behavior. As I flew, I noticed a large school of fish swimming erratically, their scales shimmering in the sunlight.

My curiosity piqued, I dove down to investigate, the water rushing past me in a cool, blue-green blur. As I approached the school, I saw a massive shape looming beneath the surface, its presence seeming to disturb the very fabric of the ocean itself.

My heart racing with excitement and a touch of fear, I realized that this was no ordinary creature. What was it, and what was it doing to the fish? I knew I had to find out, and fast, before the situation escalated any further.

As I descended into the water, the massive shape grew larger. The creature emerged from the darkness, its enormous body undulating as it moved. I gasped, taken aback by its sheer scale. Its scales were black, and its eyes glowed like lanterns.

The fish swam frantically around the creature, their movements chaotic. I realized I had to act fast to understand what was happening. But as I gazed into the creature's eyes, I saw something unexpected - a glimmer of intelligence.

I hovered in the water, my albino scales glistening in the dim light. The creature's gaze met mine, and for a moment, we simply regarded each other. I wondered what its story was, and what it was doing to the fish.

I thought to myself,'The dragon lord didn't say I can't store it using my gastric Preservation Magic, so'

I thought to myself, 'The dragon lord didn't say I can't store it using my gastric Preservation Magic, so I might as well try it.'

With that in mind, I focused my energy and leaned forward, my mouth opening wide.

I swallowed the fish whole.

The fish slid down my throat, and I could feel it being stored within me, its presence contained by my magic.

I held my breath, hoping that this would be a viable solution to the situation.

Not only have I swallowed the fish, but I also have the water and storage inside my stomach, and while using Gastric Preservation Magic.

As I swallowed the fish, I could feel the water and the storage space within my stomach accommodating the new addition.

My Gastric Preservation Magic was working to preserve the fish and the water, keeping them fresh and contained within me.

The magic was also allowing me to store the water and the fish together, without any issues or complications.

I felt a sense of satisfaction, knowing that my magic was working as intended.

As I swallowed so much fish and water that my belly bulged very larger.

As I swallowed so much fish and water, my belly bulged very large, the scales on my abdomen stretching to accommodate the sudden influx of contents.

My stomach felt heavy and full, but my Gastric Preservation Magic was working to contain everything, keeping the fish and water fresh and stored safely within me.

As I stood there, my belly bulging with the weight of the fish and water, I couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment.

I had successfully used my Gastric Preservation Magic to store the fish and water, and now I had to figure out what to do next.

I looked down at my expanded belly, feeling a bit self-conscious about my new shape.

My stomach felt heavy and full, but my Gastric Preservation Magic was still working to contain everything, keeping the fish and water fresh and stored safely within me.

I took a deep breath, trying to process what I had just done and what it meant for my situation.

I activate my barrier to prevent my belly from erupting.

I smiled. "Now let continue to fix the overpopulation of fish!"

With my barrier in place, I felt a sense of relief wash over me.

My belly was safely contained, and I could focus on the task at hand.

I grinned, feeling a surge of determination.

"Time to get back to work," I said to myself, my voice filled with resolve.

I took a deep breath, and with my barrier holding strong, I set off to continue addressing the overpopulation of fish.

I continued to swallow the fish and water into my stomach.

The process continued, with fish and water flowing into my stomach, my Gastric Preservation Magic working to store and preserve them.

My belly grew larger, but my barrier held strong, containing the expansion.

I swallowed and swallowed, the fish and water disappearing into the depths of my stomach, my magic keeping everything in check.

And when the overly population of fish was over, I lay sit on the ground feeling very bloated.

I sat on the ground, my belly bulging outward, feeling incredibly full and bloated.

The task was complete, and the overpopulation of fish was no more.

I let out a contented sigh, my stomach heavy with the weight of the stored fish and water.

For a moment, I just sat there, enjoying the feeling of a job well done, despite the uncomfortable sensation of being so full.

I grunted in pain "Wow I stored a lot of fish and water, then I should be. OW!"

I grimaced, the discomfort in my stomach growing more intense.

The weight of the stored fish and water was starting to take its toll, and I could feel my stomach protesting the massive amount of contents.

I doubled over, clutching my belly, as a sharp pain shot through my abdomen.

"Ow, maybe I did store a bit too much," I muttered, wincing in discomfort.

I stumbled forward, trying to find a comfortable position to alleviate the discomfort.

The pain was starting to radiate throughout my abdomen, and I could feel my Gastric Preservation Magic straining to keep everything contained.

I gritted my teeth, hoping that my magic would be able to hold on for a little longer.

Suddenly, I heard a faint voice behind me. "Father, are you okay?" It was one of my children, but I couldn't quite tell who.

I look up and see Tharros and Thyriatrix and Tharros' ears folded back in full worry.

Tharros' usually calm demeanor was replaced by a look of deep concern, his ears folded back in a clear sign of distress.

Thyriatrix, standing beside him, wore a worried expression as well, her eyes fixed on me with a mix of fear and uncertainty.

"Father, what's wrong?" Tharros asked, his voice trembling slightly as he took a step closer to me.

I tried to reassure them with a weak smile, but it was clear that my discomfort was evident.

I can see that my son is deeply concerned about my well-being.

His folded-back ears and trembling voice show that he's empathetic and sensitive to my emotions.

Tharros' strong bond with me is evident in his reaction, and I'm touched by his concern.

As a father, it's heartwarming to see my son care so deeply about me, and I feel grateful for the strong connection we share.

I forced a weak smile onto my face, trying to reassure Tharros and Thyriatrix that I was okay.

"I'm fine, son," I said, trying to sound calm despite the discomfort that was still radiating through my abdomen.

Tharros' eyes narrowed slightly, his concern evident in his expression.

"Father, you're not fine," he said, his voice still trembling. "You're hurting. What's wrong?"

I hesitated, unsure of how to explain the situation to my son.

Thyriatrix stepped forward, her voice soft and gentle. "Aetherius, perhaps you should sit down and rest for a moment."

Thyriatrix sighed "it seem your mission from the dragon lord about the overly population of fish is finished, and you finished it in swallowing the fish and water?" I nodded

Thyriatrix raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement dancing in her eyes.

"Well, I suppose that's one way to solve an overpopulation problem," she said dryly.

Tharros looked at me with a mixture of confusion and concern.

"Father, why did you swallow all the fish and water?" he asked, his voice still laced with worry.

I shrugged, feeling a bit self-conscious about my unorthodox solution.

"I just... needed to take care of the problem," I said vaguely, trying to brush off the question.

I lay down on my side and feel the fish swimming around in my stomach.

The sensation of the fish swimming around in my stomach was... unusual, to say the least.

I could feel them darting back and forth, their scales scraping against the walls of my stomach.

It was a strange, almost ticklish feeling, and I couldn't help but wonder how long it would take for them to... digest, I supposed.

Tharros and Thyriatrix were watching me with concern, Tharros' ears still folded back in worry.

"Father, are you sure you're okay?" he asked, his voice soft and gentle.

I looked at Tharros and gave him a force smile. "I have something for you, Tharros!" I hurl out the fish, and it flopped up and down.

Tharros question, "Am I supposed to eat that?!" I nodded.

Thyriatrix looks at me in disgust "Aetherius that is so gross! What wrong with you?!" She yelled.

Pov Tharros

Ugh, Father's being weird again. One minute he's clutching his stomach in pain, and the next he's grinning at me like a lunatic.

And then he does this... this... thing. He vomits up a fish, and it's flopping around all over the place. I'm shocked, and my stomach is doing flips.

"Am I supposed to eat that?!" I ask, trying to process what's happening.

Father nods, like it's the most normal thing in the world.

I look at the fish, and it's definitely not the most appetizing thing I've ever seen.

Mother's reaction is even more intense. She's covering her mouth, looking at Father like he's lost his mind.

"What wrong with you?!" she yells, her voice full of disgust.

I'm torn between feeling sorry for Father and being grossed out by the whole situation.

I took a bite out of it, and weird enough, it was not that bad.

Pov Aetherius

I watched with a mix of relief and amusement as Tharros took a bite of the fish.

To my surprise, he didn't spit it out or make a face. Instead, he seemed to be chewing and swallowing it.

Thyriatrix, on the other hand, looked like she was about to be sick.

"How can you eat that?" she asked, her voice still laced with disgust.

I shrugged, feeling a bit proud of myself for coming up with a creative solution to the overpopulation problem.

Tharros looked at me with a curious expression, like he was trying to understand why I would do something so... unusual.

I smiled back at him, feeling a sense of pride and connection with my son.

I giggled despite the discomfort of my belly. "Look Thyriatrix, it not that bad, and I know I just hurl the fish from my stomach, but it not that bad. OW! my belly"

Thyriatrix's expression turned from disgust to concern as she took a step closer to me.

"Aetherius, maybe you should sit down and rest for a bit," she said, her voice softening.

Tharros, still looking a bit perplexed, asked, "Father, are you okay? Your belly is still hurting, isn't it?"

I nodded, wincing in discomfort as another sharp pain shot through my abdomen.

"Yeah, I think I might have overdone it this time," I admitted, feeling a bit embarrassed about my unorthodox solution.

I use my teleportation magic to send us back home to the mountain cave.

The familiar sensation of teleportation washed over us, and in an instant, we found ourselves back at the mountain cave.

The cool, damp air enveloped us, and the sound of dripping water echoed through the cavern.

Thyriatrix let out a sigh of relief as she looked around, her eyes adjusting to the dim light.

Tharros, still looking a bit concerned, asked, "Father, do you need me to get you some water or something to eat?"

I smiled weakly, feeling a bit exhausted from the ordeal.

"Just some water would be great, thank you, Tharros," I said, already feeling a bit better now that we were back home.

I sighed. "You know what, never mind!" I slowly get up, and the pain increases slowly as I get up, but I ignore it.

I took a deep breath, trying to power through the discomfort, and began to make my way towards the back of the cave.

Thyriatrix and Tharros exchanged a concerned glance, but they didn't try to stop me.

As I walked, the pain in my stomach grew, but I gritted my teeth and kept moving.

I could feel their eyes on me, watching me with a mix of worry and curiosity.

I knew they were wondering what I was doing, but I wasn't going to tell them.

At least, not yet.

I walked further into the cave, the darkness enveloping me like a shroud.

The pain in my stomach was growing, but I pushed on, determined to reach my destination.

Thyriatrix and Tharros followed me, their footsteps echoing off the walls of the cave.

I could sense their concern, but they didn't try to stop me or ask me what I was doing.

I appreciated their trust in me, even if it was tinged with a bit of worry.

As we walked deeper into the cave, the air grew thick with the scent of damp earth and mold.

I breathed it in, feeling a sense of comfort and familiarity.

This was my domain, and I knew every nook and cranny of it.

Finally, we reached a small chamber deep within the cave.

The walls were lined with glittering crystals, and a small pool of water reflected the dim light.

I stopped in front of the pool, my stomach churning with discomfort.

Thyriatrix and Tharros caught up to me, their eyes fixed on me with concern.

"Father, what's going on?" Tharros asked, his voice soft and gentle.

I took a deep breath, preparing myself for what was to come.

I giggled. "Just bring your siblings here, Tharros!"

Tharros's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly nodded and turned to run off.

"Lyriath! Vyraxys! Nyxoria! Lyrixa! Kaidorix! Kieraxys! Niamon!" he called out, his voice echoing through the cave.

The sound of scurrying footsteps and excited chirps filled the air as the younger siblings came running towards us.

Thyriatrix raised an eyebrow, looking at me with a mixture of curiosity and concern.

"What's going on, Aetherius?" she asked, her voice low and questioning.

I just smiled, feeling a sense of anticipation build up inside me.

The siblings began to arrive, their eyes shining with excitement and curiosity.

Lyriath, the navy blue and dark red scaled sibling, looked at me with a hint of mischief in his eyes.

Vyraxys, the dark bronze scaled sibling, grinned at me, his teeth gleaming in the dim light.

Nyxoria, the amethyst scaled sibling, looked at me with a curious expression, her eyes sparkling with interest.

Lyrixa, the rose gold scaled sibling, bounced up and down, her excitement palpable.

Kaidorix, the forest green scaled sibling, looked at me with a serious expression, his eyes narrowed in concentration.

Kieraxys, the copper scaled sibling, looked around at his siblings, his eyes wide with wonder.

And Niamon, the lavender scaled sibling, simply giggled and clapped her hands, her eyes shining with joy.

The siblings all gathered around me, looking up at me with a mixture of curiosity and anticipation.

I took a deep breath, preparing myself for what was to come.

Tharros's eyes widened as he nodded and ran off to gather his siblings.

"Lyriath! Vyraxys! Nyxoria! Lyrixa! Kaidorix! Kieraxys! Niamon!" he called out.

The siblings came running, their eyes shining with excitement and curiosity.

They gathered around me, looking up at me with anticipation.

Thyriatrix raised an eyebrow, her expression questioning.

I giggled and hurled out all the fish and water, and my belly went back to a flat and muscle belly scales.

I giggled. "You should eat it!"

The siblings' eyes widened in shock as I vomited out the fish and water.

Thyriatrix's face turned pale, while Tharros looked like he was trying not to laugh.

The younger siblings, however, seemed intrigued, their eyes fixed on the fish.

"Eat it?" Lyriath repeated, his voice laced with disgust.

But then, something unexpected happened.

Vyraxys, Nyxoria, and Lyrixa started to move towards the fish, their eyes shining with interest.

"Really, Father?" Vyraxys asked, his voice filled with excitement.

I nodded, still giggling.

The three siblings began to eat the fish, their scales glistening in the dim light.

The others watched in a mix of fascination and horror.

Tharros looked like he was torn between disgust and curiosity.

Kaidorix and Kieraxys exchanged a glance, then shrugged and joined in.

Niamon, the youngest, simply giggled and started eating the fish with gusto.

Thyriatrix and I exchanged a glance, both of us unsure what to make of this sudden turn of events.

Thyriatrix growled "Aetherius what the hell?!"

I giggled, "Just eat it, little ones it not terrible it is fresh too, so don't just waste! And you don't want me to get too angry!" I gave them death glare.

Thyriatrix's eyes widened in outrage, but she seemed to be at a loss for words.

The younger siblings, however, looked at each other nervously before turning back to the regurgitated fish.

They seemed to be weighing their options, but my glare seemed to be having the desired effect.

Slowly, they began to eat the fish again, their faces scrunched up in distaste.

Tharros looked like he was trying not to laugh, but his eyes sparkled with amusement.

Kaidorix and Kieraxys seemed to be enjoying the spectacle, their grins growing wider.

Niamon, on the other hand, was too busy eating to care about the commotion.

Thyriatrix's growl grew louder, but I just chuckled, my eyes never leaving hers.

Thyriatrix's eyes widened in outrage, her face reddening with anger, but she seemed to be at a loss for words, her mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water.

The younger siblings, however, looked at each other nervously, their eyes darting back and forth, before turning back to the regurgitated fish, their faces scrunched up in distaste, but their hunger and curiosity getting the better of them.

They seemed to be weighing their options, their minds racing with thoughts of whether to continue eating or to risk my wrath by refusing, but my glare seemed to be having the desired effect, my intense stare piercing through them like a dagger.

Slowly, they began to eat the fish again, their faces contorted in disgust, but their hunger and my authority winning out, their movements becoming more mechanical as they tried to block out the taste and texture.

Tharros looked like he was trying not to laugh, his eyes sparkling with amusement, his lips twitching upwards in a suppressed smile, but he was doing a good job of keeping a straight face, his expression neutral, but his eyes betraying his true emotions.

Kaidorix and Kieraxys, on the other hand, seemed to be enjoying the spectacle, their grins growing wider, their eyes shining with excitement, as they watched their siblings eat the regurgitated fish with a mix of fascination and horror.

Niamon, the youngest, was too busy eating to care about the commotion, her face smeared with fish guts, her eyes shining with a primal intensity, as she devoured the fish with a single-minded focus.

Thyriatrix's growl grew louder, her anger and frustration building, but I just chuckled, my eyes never leaving hers, my gaze holding hers in a fierce stare, as I reveled in the chaos and absurdity of the situation.

The air was thick with tension, the atmosphere heavy with unspoken emotions, as the family dynamic played out in a complex dance of power, authority, and rebellion, with me at the center, orchestrating the chaos with a wicked grin.

Lyriath hesitated, took a bite first, and looked surprised "wait it is actually fresh?!"

Lyriath's eyes widened in surprise as he chewed, his expression changing from skepticism to curiosity.

"Wait, it is actually fresh?!" he repeated, his voice filled with surprise.

The other siblings looked at him in surprise, then back at the fish, their expressions changing from disgust to curiosity.

Vyraxys took a tentative bite, his face scrunched up in anticipation, but then his eyes lit up with surprise.

"Wow, it's really good!" he exclaimed.

Nyxoria followed suit, taking a small bite, and then nodding in agreement.

"It's actually pretty tasty," she said, her voice filled with surprise.

The other siblings began to eat with renewed enthusiasm, their initial hesitation forgotten.

Thyriatrix's growl subsided, replaced by a look of confusion and curiosity.

"Aetherius, how did you...?" she trailed off, her eyes narrowing in suspicion.

I just chuckled, my eyes glinting with amusement, as I watched my family devour the regurgitated fish with surprising enthusiasm.

The siblings continued eating, their initial disgust replaced by curiosity and hunger.

Thyriatrix's eyes remained narrowed, her mind racing with questions. "Aetherius, this is impossible," she said, her voice low and suspicious.

"How did you keep the fish fresh for so long?" I chuckled, enjoying the mystery, and Thyriatrix's eyes flashed with annoyance, but she didn't press the issue.

The siblings devoured the fish with surprising enthusiasm, their hunger and curiosity getting the better of them.

As they finished, Lyriath spoke up, his voice filled with excitement. "That was actually really good!" The others nodded in agreement.

Thyriatrix sighed, shaking her head. "I think it's time for a bath," she said, her voice dry. The siblings groaned, knowing it was necessary.

As they began to clean up, I watched with a satisfied smile, feeling content with the unusual family moment.

Thyriatrix's eyes met mine, still filled with unspoken questions, but she said nothing, her expression a mix of confusion and curiosity.

Note:This is how you do it, making the response short! I mean, make the text shorter, not by shorter the response. I mean dicrising the amount of response

Thyriatrix's eyes narrowed, her voice low and suspicious. "Aetherius, this is impossible. How did you keep the fish fresh for so long?"

I chuckled, enjoying the mystery.

Lyriath spoke up, his voice filled with excitement. "That was actually really good!"

Thyriatrix sighed, shaking her head. "I think it's time for a bath."

The siblings groaned, but began to clean up.

Thyriatrix's eyes met mine, still filled with unspoken questions.

As the siblings cleaned up, Tharros wandered over to me, his eyes sleepy.

He snuggled under my wing, his favorite spot, and let out a contented sigh.

I wrapped my wing around him, holding him close.

Thyriatrix watched us, a small smile on her face.

"I think we'll call it a night," she said, her voice soft. The siblings nodded, still yawning from their meal.

As they settled in for the night, I looked down at Tharros, who was already fast asleep.

I smiled, feeling a sense of peace wash over me. This was my family, and I would do anything to protect them.

With a happy heart, I drifted off to sleep, Tharros safely under my wing.
