Chapter 101 - Lesson in Rulership [1]

Raguel and Cedric made their way inside palace, the duo made their way up where Aurelia was supposed to be, and yet she was nowhere to be found.

Lucious was alone next to the throne, acting like a stand-in for Aurelia.

"Where is Aurelia?" Cedric asked.

"In the garden, dear Father," Lucious spoke softly.

Raguel looked at Lucious with scornful expression, "Why are you away from your VIP?"

Lucious responded with fear, her back straightening, "I was ordered to stand guard!"

"What if something happens to her while you are here guarding an empty throne?"

Lucious felt obligated to bow before the mighty being before her, even after her ascension, she felt like she couldn't hold a handle in front of her sister, who stood in front.

It was the same suffocating feeling as when facing Father for the first time but slightly less potent.

"My... lady. She is protected by my husband and Ladios. There is no force in this world that may harm her."

Raguel stared at her, her sharp gaze peering through her very soul," And that is exactly why you lost before. I had gained the knowledge from Father. You were too weak to protect her."

She stopped, letting silence reign for a moment. "You forced Father to empower you so that you may continue serving. You are a sinner."

Lucious stared, mouth slightly agape, she couldn't find a word to retort.

After all it was true they required Father to save them, but they were against the Apostle of Chrunus, they were inadequate. Not only that Lucious and her dear husband were not even on the level of Ladios who was vaporized quickly.

"Raguel, that is enough. Follow me." Cedric ordered sternly, he would not allow Raguel to verbally abuse Lucious without a reason.

"Yes, Father, forgive me for my outburst." She bowed deeply before rushing to her father's side, leaving exasperated Lucious to stare at the form of Golden Angel.

'... Why always me...' Lucious sighed, she had a terrible feeling that the woman is gonna be a permanent addition to Aurelia's squad.

Lucious did not look forward to having someone like her command her.

No, she did not mind a strict commander, but she truly did not enjoy being scolded like she just was.

'Father... please...' She prayed in her mind.

She sighed, she wanted to hug her husband for comfort, alas, she knew it was not possible now.

Their duties were many.

Ever since her ascension, she had regained her free will completely; however, her loyalty to Cedric remained the same as when she was purified.

She truly considered him her Father.

With free will, her desire to be close with Rayn also grew, 'Perhaps Lady Aurelia would allow me private time with him...'

If anyone would understand the desire to be alone with their partner, it would be Aurelia, considering her actions when it came to Cedric.

She did not shy away from declaring loudly that she wanted him.

Lucious sighed, "I guess it doesn't hurt to ask..."

"CEDRIC MY BELOVED!" Aurelia jumped from her chair, pouncing onto Cedric.

"I missed you so much!" She nuzzled her face against his armor while kicking her legs up.

She truly felt happy whenever her future hubby was around.

In the corner of her eyes she saw a woman, beautiful, golden eyes, golden hair.

She felt a spark of jealousy, however, she noticed the wings, wings that indicated that the woman was one of his Angels and not her competition.

She let go, preparing to speak.

"Forgive me for a shameful display, my name is Aurelia, The First Star." She bowed deeply before the woman.

Raguel stared at Aurelia with wide eyes, in her mind a mortal dared stick to her Father so closely it was worthy a punishment, however, this girl was one she was supposed to teach and guide.

Raguel smirked as she looked Aurelia up and down before bowing,"I am Raguel, the Judge. I am here by the instruction of Father."

Aurelia raised her eyebrow before Cedric interjected.

"She will teach you about ruling effectively," Cedric spoke casually, his arms crossed.

Aurelia looked at Cedric before blinking, "My beloved... You got me a teacher?"

She almost squealed from happiness, Nobody has ever cared this much.

"Yes, I want you to listen to her. I have important duties to attend to." Cedric spoke before making his way out.

She stared at the distant figure of Cedric as a blush overtook her face, "Thanks, my love!"

In a moment, she was left alone with Raguel and a duo of Archangels.

"I usually wouldn't tolerate someone clinging to father, but..." She scanned Aurelia from top to bottom.

"Father allowed it, so I assume you will be his queen eventually?" Raguel spoke seriously, her tone conveying the strict nature.

If Aurelia said yes, her lessons would be much harsher, as one who would stand next to Father would need to be perfect just as Father was.

Aurelia placed her hands on her hips as she loudly exclaimed, "Yes, I will be his queen one day, God has ordained it to be so!"

"Is that so, you understand that I won't go easy with you, right?" Raguel spoke, her hands crossed just under her chest.

"If you wish to have a chance to become Father's wife, you will need to fulfill his mission to perfection." She approached Aurelia, her face uncomfortably close to her.

Her golden eyes wandered off, landing onto the letter Aurelia had just finished writing.

"What's that?" She spoke before reaching for it.

"It's a plea to noble houses to hear me out, and accept the coming change," Aurelia spoke weakly, her lips curling into a forced smile.

Raguel looked at her before opening the letter.

"This is no good. You must never make yourself subservient." Raguel spoke with disdain as she read the letter.

"These nobles are an inconvenience to Father, and so you, as his future wife, must not submit to them in any shape or form." She stopped for a moment, "I will show you how to deal with them ruthlessly and effortlessly without too much blood spillage."

Aurelia could only nod as Raguel took her seat. "Let's start with your usage of language in this letter."

Aurelia could only stare at her while nodding, 'This is gonna be a long day.'
