Hori quickly jolted from the bed she was in.
It was a hospital bed, she was in a Medbay.
Hori was wearing white pajama and saw multiple bandages on her body, most precisely her hands, she had a few on her cheeks
Hori:... what the....
She turned to see haruki sleeping like a baby on a chair at her side.
Resting his head on her lap,
He was also wearing a white pajama.
Hori:...haruki...?
Hori:... wait... did I pass the first trial...
Bzzt the door opened,a female figure also wearing whit pajamas.
She was carrying a tray of sliced and peeled apples.
Hori: meadow?
Meadow: Chika,¡no puede ser!
Translation: Woah, that can't be!
Meadow: OMG! Your awake!!
She immediately dropped the tray and rushed to Hori.
Hori: meadow... what happened to me...?
Meadow: girl it was serious!
She grabbed a chair and sat close to hori.

She asked pointing at the peeled apples.

Hori picked the apple slices and started eating.

She exclaimed looking at the window,it was dark outside, the time 12:33
Meadow: so how are you feeling
Meadow asked examining hori's body, they just became friends not too long ago but she truly cared for hori.

Meadow: ah! it must have been that "special treatment" they were talking about!

She asked biting her apple slice
Meadow: si! A hataki said that you were too damaged for traditional treatment, so priests were going to fix you up!

Meadow: the noise was much, so female participants came from our room to check on the boys.
Meadow: they had to call 20 hataki's to hold him down, and he was still dragging all of them heading to the med bay.
Meadow said with excitement, she loves to gist.
Meadow: he must really care about you.
She picked up a slice of apple and ate it.
Hori sat there, with her heart racing after hearing Meadows words "he must really care about you"

She gently placed her hand on Haruki's head
With a soft smile she stroked his long hair as his head layed on her lap.
Meadow:..(hori is so beautiful,I mean she's literally in a hospital bed but she still looks this good!!!!)
She thought in silence looking at hori smile at Haruki's sleeping face, despite hori's short and boyish hair style, her face was very pretty.
Knock knock a sound came from the door.
It was Tadashi Shiba!!!!
Meadow: holy shit!! I mean Shiba san!!!
She bent her head as low as possible!
Despite being a Mexican, she knew Japanese etiquette.
Meadow: it's an honor to meet you sir!!!!!
Tadashi: it's good to meet you too.
He said with a warm smile patting meadow's head.

She opened the camera and stood at Tadashi's side,he was much much taller than meadow so tadashi had to take the picture.
Meadow: God bless you so much!!! I'll never delete this in my entire life on earth!!!
She bowed even lower than before! Expressing her gratitude!
Tadashi gave a warm smile seeing meadow adore the picture.
Tadashi:...can you please excuse us?
Meadow: of course sir!
She bent again and bid hori bye.
Meadow excused Hori and Tadashi
to what ever they were about to discuss....
Hori: Shiba-san! It's been a while!

Hori immediately punched her face!
She forgot that her father had announced her dead, so as of now she isn't inori jiro,who was already acquainted with Tadashi Shiba.
Hori:(I have to speak like a complete stranger!!)

Tadashi: normally,SHO doesn't allow resignation of Participants for the SABBATH EXAMS.

Tadashi: it's for you to quit the Sabbath exams.
Tadashi: surely you remember the damage you took from just the first trial.
Tadashi: it will be smart to quit now and prevent something like that from happening again.

He stated his facts offering the clip board to hori for her signature.

She asked referring to haruki.
Tadashi:(isn't he that child that withstood 20 trained hataki?)

He kept the form on the desk.

She admitted blushing a little.

Hori: I will pass the SABBATH EXAMS and make him proud!
She declared with determination burning in her eyes, hori was saying nothing but the truth.
Tadashi:... so your not quitting?
Hori: that is correct sir!
Tadashi:... aight...
He stood up from his chair and was about leaving the door.
Tadashi:... good luck, Hori Inori,I expect great things from you.
He vanished.
Meadow: (huh? He suddenly disappeared!)
She exclaimed peeping through the door, she didn't see tadashi leave the room.
Tadashi: you should go get some sleep.
He said to meadow who was eavesdropping in their conversation.
Tadashi was standing at her back.
Meadow:(wtf?! When did he!?)
She jolted from shock, meadow was standing in front of the door meaning she should have seen him leaving the room!
Meadow: I... I'm so sorry sir!
She apologized bending her head.
Tadashi: it's okay...
He replied with a soft smile
Tadashi:..that friend of yours... cherish her well...
He added, adjusting his glasses.
Meadow:o..of course!
Meadow bowed once again.
Tadashi left the hall way.
The next day reached and hori was taking a shower in the hospital ward.... yeah they have a bathroom.
She got dressed in her Sabbath Exams jersey which was now amended from the tears and blood stains, however it was still too big,it seems Sabbath exams participants get only one jersey per person.
She got dressed and folded the hands and legs, remembering how meadow did it for her.
She still has her bandages on her hands and one on her cheek.
Hori: alright! I'm ready!
She said with a fierce voice, she was about to leave the med bay and join the other participants in the briefing hall.
A Male hataki knocked on the door.
Hataki: inori-san, are you ready?
Hori: yes sir!
He opened the door and saw hori prepared.
Hataki: oh... you don't have to address me as sir, I'm just 10
Hori:ehhhh?! Ten?! your as tall as me!!
Hataki: ahem! Please follow me to the briefing hall.
Hori: understood.
They walked for some time and finally arrived, they saw a crowd of participants, although much much smaller than before,a lot of them died in the first trial.
Haruki: hori!
Hori: haruki!
They ran towards each other and held hands.
Mrs Shuntaro: hori chan!!! I'm so glad your okay!! I could've come see you but I slept off before you finished the first trial!!
Shuntaro said pleading for forgiveness.
Hori: it's okay Shuntaro san, she said with a lovely smile.
Meadow:hola!
She waved hori.
Hori: hola to you too!
Hori doesn't know what hola means.
Hataki:(wow, she sure has a lot of friends, wait, holy shit is that a pregnant lady?????)
Hataki: I best be on my way now, inori San.
Hori:ah, thank you for escorting me!
The hataki bowed down and excused himself.
"Ehmm...I.. inori San"
A shy figure approached hori,it was that chunibyio suika!

She apologized with her voice stammering like there's no tomorrow.

She forced Hori to accept her apology.

She said with a smile.

Hori: I mean, i still passed the first trial,despite my bones shattered,I got treatment, so there's no point dwelling on the past.
Suika:... alright....
She said with a shy face, she was happy hori didn't come to hate her.
Sir Scott: good morning everyone.
"Good morning sir Scott!" The crowd yelled in unison.
Sir Scott: there was a total of 606 participants for the first trial, 210 died and 50 lost .
Sir Scott: meaning 346 participants are left for the second trial.
Haruki: woah.
The crowd was murmuring, taking in the fact that faces they saw yesterday have departed to either heaven or hell.
Sir Scott: now before we begin, would any of you like to use the Bribery system?
Sir Scott: I will not disclose any information on the next trial, but I can assure you it's quite dangerous.
The participants got goosebumps, they had witnessed the danger of the Sabbath exams from the first trial.
Most of them had realized that they were placed by the side of the pillar on purpose to make sure they fell to their deaths immediately after waking up.
If something like that were to again, it'll be too late.
"Ehmmm,I would like to use the Bribery system" a man said,he was too scared of the next trial.
Multiple participants were also raising their hands on the Bribery system.
Hori: Shuntaro san,I think you should as well...
She whispered in Shuntaro's ear,hori didn't want anything to happen to her and her baby, like some psychopath going on a killing spree.

Sir Scott: is that all?
The crowd was silent.
Sir Scott: very well, user's of the Bribery system, please stay behind.
They backed up separating themselves from the crowd.
Sir Scott: and with this....
Hori was prepared! she might've underrated the first trial, but she was ready for this one!
Sir Scott: let the second trial of the Sabbath exams....begin!
The lights switched off again!
