The trip with the team from the airport was one of the most annoying experiences I had ever experienced. The team seemed shocked to see Connor and I together as we waited for them in the VIP lounge. Some were dramatic enough to faint and wouldn't stop taking pictures to document the day.
Connor was as neutral as ever and barely cracked a smile. I, however, had to laugh it off and play along. Sometimes it was hard to act unbothered when you felt extremely bothered. No one batted an eye at Connor's cheek which I was grateful for. Demyan did such a great job that you couldn't see there was a bruise to begin with.
