The chancellor met King Zaraki and Crown Prince Leonard in the King's chamber.
"Did you catch the intruders?" King Zaraki asked Chancellor Gustav.
"Some of them managed to escape. But we caught the big fish… General Alaric, the hero of Kingdom Averion." Gustav relayed the good news.
King Zaraki's face brightened up when he heard that while Prince Leonard gasped in surprise. The crown prince heard a lot about Alaric's battle achievements.
"Oh! Alaric is a war god! I didn't expect that you were able to capture him!" Prince Leonard expressed his thoughts.
"He almost slipped away. But he stayed behind to protect his comrades. He made selfless sacrifices." Chancellor Gustav's voice had a hint of recognition and adoration toward the enemy.
"Is he really that capable?" King Zaraki asked with intrigue.
Gustav bobbed his head frantically. "He single‐handedly defeated hundreds of our royal guards. We have so many injured knights tonight."
