The door to the observatory was about to open when Rina wrapped a pink scarf around Kaizer as revenge for not letting her get a good look at him. After that, they both exited casually and faced the cold world of the United Federation during December.
"Tsk, you're walking down the mountain like you're about to grab snacks from a gas station," Rina muttered under her breath, marching beside Kaizer as they walked towards the gathering.
Her breath fogged in the cold air, her arms crossed under her cropped jacket like she was holding in a scolding worthy of a mother and a sergeant combined.
Kaizer glanced at her mildly, his hands still in his pockets. "I was going to get snacks."
Rina's eye twitched. "This is the End of Year Assessment and all of the student body along with many outsiders will be watching. You're making your first public appearance after almost a year and you look like you just woke up from a nap in a haunted monastery."
"I did." Kaizer replied calmly.
