Reaching the cabin, I stepped through the empty doorway—where a door should be but wasn't.
The inside was just as bare. No furniture, no decorations.
I wasn't planning on making any of that anyway.
This place was nothing more than a shelter—a spot to sleep and store food.

I turned my head to the right side of the cabin, where I had gathered a thick pile of leaves.
The leaves are more than enough.
