"No, I haven't," David replied, shaking his head. "Do you think Fire Dance and Water Lily might have witch talent?"
He knew Annie wouldn't ask such a question without reason.
Annie thought for a moment and said, "I feel like they might."
"They've actually started meditating, but they haven't been able to enter a meditative state yet," David explained their situation. "Do you have any way to help them meditate or awaken their talent?"
Annie sighed and shook her head, "Becoming a witch isn't simple. Even with witch talent, it doesn't guarantee the ability to harness mental power."
David nodded. Over time, Fire Dance and Water Lily had become more like normal people, and he occasionally saw smiles on their faces.
"If you trust me, I can try to help them achieve a meditative state," Annie offered. For the rare witch community, any potential apprentice with witch talent was extremely valuable.
"Alright," David agreed.
Soon, the sisters prepared lunch. Afterward, David called them over to discuss the possibility of becoming witches.
"Do you want to become witches?"
In truth, Fire Dance and Water Lily had never considered this. Hearing David's question, they instinctively replied, "We're your maids, and our only wish is to serve you well."
David shook his head, "I want to know your true feelings."
Hearing this, the sisters looked confused. Did they want to become witches? Images of Miss Amy and Miss Cynthia flashed through their minds.
"Miss Annie will help you meditate. Once you achieve meditation and harness mental power, you can decide," David smiled. If they couldn't meditate and harness mental power, the decision wouldn't matter.
In the following days, Annie began teaching everyone the witch knowledge she possessed. Gathering knowledge and inheritance from other witches was why David brought them together—to grow stronger!
Besides learning witch knowledge, David continued his training.
About ten days passed, and David extracted some wolf blood from Little Snow to begin crafting the Crimson Elixir from the Book of Summoning.
Crafting the Crimson Elixir wasn't difficult, requiring mainly the magical beast's blood and other ingredients found in knight potions to enhance bloodline power. With the trade routes open, the domain's finances had flourished under Rena's efforts, making it easy to gather the necessary materials.
However, the Crimson Elixir required a ritual to fully activate the blood's power. Despite David's third-level mental power, he failed several times before finally succeeding.
"Finally, it's done," David said, relieved, looking at the Crimson Elixir in his hand.
The two snow wolves also sighed in relief. Though the blood amount for each potion was small, the repeated draws had left Little Snow somewhat weakened.
"I'll have Fire Dance prepare something tasty for you," David reassured the wolves before proceeding with his next experiment.
Activating his Beast Transformation ability, he transformed into a werewolf form, sporting wolf ears and a tail—his preferred form. Carefully opening the elixir, he tried a small sip. As the crimson potion went down his throat, its magic began to spread throughout his body.
Though the potion's magic was weak, David's third-level mental power allowed him to sense it clearly. In his half-beast form, his Frost Giant Wolf bloodline was fully activated, coursing through his body and enhancing it.
The potion's magic merged with his bloodline, providing a subtle boost to his physical attributes. The magic was working with the bloodline to strengthen his body!
"It actually works!" David's eyes lit up. Without hesitation, he drank the entire Crimson Elixir.
The elixir's power surged through him, triggering his Frost Giant Wolf bloodline. The transformation and enhancement were visibly strong. Even with his already impressive fourth-level peak physical condition, he could feel himself stepping closer to the fifth level!
This effect surpassed the improvements from his breathing exercises. And this was with a second-level snow wolf's elixir. An elixir made from Little White's blood would surely be even more effective!
"The Crimson Elixir is indeed remarkable," David smiled, finding the combination of Beast Transformation and the elixir perfect. Since he could use it after transforming, Cynthia could too, and since she was only at the first-level peak after transformation, the effect would be even better!
David brewed two more elixirs and eagerly went to find Cynthia, who was just returning from frolicking with the gray wolves.
"Back already?" David asked.
Cynthia replied shyly, "Isn't it still early?"
"Early? For what?" David teased knowingly.
Cynthia blushed instantly, making David laugh heartily. He decided not to tease the little fox girl further.
He approached and scooped her up, carrying her to the bedroom.
Annie was reading in the study at the time. Knowing she liked books, David had brought many for her. Suddenly, Annie raised her head cautiously.
As a mental witch, she was extremely sensitive to her surroundings. Seeing the Frostwolf Duke carrying Cynthia to the bedroom, her expression changed slightly. She had long known that Leah, Amy, Rena, and Cynthia were all the duke's lovers, and her face turned a bit awkward.
Thankfully, the Frostwolf Duke had been respectful, leaving her and Hill alone, which eased her concerns. Taking a deep breath, she shut off her mental perception to avoid sensing anything inappropriate, recalling Cynthia's sounds from last time, which made her blush.
Back in the bedroom, David didn't immediately act but instead fetched a wine glass, intending to use the Crimson Elixir as a substitute for wine. The elixir was only drinkable in beast form, and he wanted to see if Cynthia could transform during their time together.
