The chill in Lapras's mouth condensed rapidly, and an icy-blue frost beam shot forward like a frozen breath, rushing straight toward Dragonair.
"Dragonair! Use Twister!"
Charlotte snapped back to her senses and quickly shouted her command.
Dragonair gritted its teeth, enduring the discomfort from its earlier injuries, and summoned a swirling tornado in front of itself. The Twister met the icy blast of Freeze-Dry head-on.
For a moment, the two attacks clashed fiercely — but in the next second, Twister froze solid under the icy breath, and the chilling air continued spreading toward Dragonair.
"Wooo~!"
Dragonair let out a painful cry as frost coated its body.
Freeze-Dry dealt devastating damage — even with Twister's dampening effect, Dragonair was clearly struggling.
Seeing this, the crowd supporting Charlotte began to grow uneasy.
"No way… I think Charlotte might actually lose..."
"Dragonair really seems to be outmatched against Lapras..."
"It's no surprise. Their power isn't that far apart, but Lapras has the type advantage. Plus, Dragonair's Dragon Dance boost never even got a chance to kick in — Bella's strategy has been relentless."
"Damn it! My whole paycheck's gone!"
"Congrats, congrats... I just lost half my net worth! There goes my Luxury Ball!"
"Haha~ Lucky me! I split my bet half and half — Bella's odds were higher, so I still made a profit!"
"Wow, you're just playing both sides, huh?"
Amidst the wailing and sighing, surprisingly few arguments broke out — after all…

"Lapras! Ice Shard!"
Bella Quinn stayed calm, ordering Lapras to keep the pressure on.
"Dragon Rush!"
Charlotte gritted her teeth. She knew that if Lapras continued to dominate the fight, she'd have no chance to turn things around.
Dragonair struggled to lift its battered body, cyan dragon-shaped energy surging forward as the frost on its scales shook loose.
Ice Shard's frozen spikes shot through the air, striking Dragonair mid-charge.
"Wooo!"
Dragonair cried out again, but thanks to the protective aura of Dragon Rush, the attack didn't stop its advance.
In the next moment, Dragonair lunged toward Lapras!
"Lapras, use Freeze-Dry!"
Bella's voice remained calm.
Lapras inhaled deeply, releasing another powerful burst of icy frost to meet Dragonair's charge. The cyan dragon energy clashed violently with the ice-blue Freeze-Dry.
"Dragonair! Dodge and use Thunder Wave!"
Charlotte suddenly shifted strategies.
Dragonair twisted its body at the last second, narrowly avoiding the icy blast. Sparks of golden electricity crackled around it, and a bolt of paralyzing energy shot toward Lapras.
"Useless! Just a desperate attempt."
Bella glanced at her Lapras as the Thunder Wave struck. Lapras shuddered slightly from the jolt.
Bella had seen this tactic before — Charlotte had successfully used Thunder Wave in earlier matches to turn the tide. But now? Even if Lapras was paralyzed...
What difference would it make?
"Use Ice Shard!"
Frozen projectiles shot toward Dragonair once again.
"Dodge it and rush in! Dragonair!"
Ignoring Bella's words, Charlotte stayed focused, her gaze locked on Lapras.
Dragonair twisted and weaved through the incoming shards, steadily closing the distance.
Five meters… three meters… two meters...
"Sparkling Aria!"
"Use Slam!"
Dragonair suddenly surged forward with renewed speed, just as Lapras began to sing.
Rippling sound waves shot forward, visibly shaking Dragonair's body. Dragonair faltered for a moment — but it had braced itself to endure the disorienting sound.
Meanwhile, a massive water bubble formed above the two Pokémon.
Dragonair lunged, coiling tightly around Lapras's body in a powerful grip.
The water bubble from Sparkling Aria burst directly above Dragonair's head.
BOOM!
Dragonair groaned in pain, its body trembling — but it refused to let go.
"Confuse Ray!"
Bella spotted her chance and ordered Lapras to attack again.
Lapras began forming a dark, swirling energy in its mouth — but before it could fire...
ZAP!
The lingering paralysis flared up — Lapras's muscles seized, preventing it from completing the move.
Bella frowned.
"Dragonair!" Charlotte shouted desperately.
"Wooo!!"
With a powerful roar, Dragonair mustered its remaining strength, lifting Lapras into the air before spinning rapidly and slamming it into the ground.
BOOM!
The arena shook from the impact. Lapras cried out in pain — the slam had landed perfectly.
The crowd's excitement reignited — suddenly, it felt like there was still hope!
"Dragonair! Dragon Rush!" Charlotte shouted excitedly.
Dragonair roared again, cyan energy surging around its body — but before the move could fully charge...
"Ice Shard!"
Bella's calm voice cut through the stadium noise.
An icy projectile flew through the air, striking Dragonair's head directly before it could finish charging its attack.
Dragonair's body wavered.
"Wooo...!"
With one final cry, Dragonair collapsed to the side, clearly too battered to continue.
"Dragonair is unable to battle! Lapras is the winner!"
The referee's voice rang out loud and clear, signaling Bella Quinn's victory.
The crowd roared with applause.
Charlotte sighed heavily, returning Dragonair to its Poké Ball.
She stared silently at Bella across the battlefield.
For a moment, she looked disappointed — but then a faint smile tugged at her lips.
"Nice one, Quinnie…" Charlotte muttered under her breath.
